Matt Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 So who's stupid enough to be betting on us? I'm tempted by 5/1 to win the league, Maybe £5 E/W. And as many people have said on here Fryatt top scorer at 33/1 is tempting as well.
DanTheFox07 Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 fryatt aint gonna score 20 odds goals give me one good reason y not?
J.Lisemore Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 20-1 i dont think its going to be easy this year and think we will finish around top 10 especially with the keepers we've got.

I backed us at 7's the day after we went down and have backed us at 6's and 5's since, i'm very confident of collecting oh and i'm a bookie myself too.

So a £30 and a bit profit, and you will have to wait till May to get it or whenever the season ends. And we probably won't win the league, tis just not worth it, more than likely a top 10/play off finish.

Daggers Posted 2 August 2008 Posted 2 August 2008 give me one good reason y not? ...because in the space of two and a half years he has only netted eleven times? He looks hungry (nothing nasty intended) at the moment and has scored twice - but that simply mirrors his pre-season last year. The major difference is the use if the term "majestic" to describe his performance against Brum on the radio. I'd be delighted if he could eventually find the touch that made him a star at the Bescott - but history at the club simply isn't on his side and I'll not be sticking my hand in my pocket to back him.
Ultra Posted 3 August 2008 Posted 3 August 2008 If anyone's deluded enough to think that Fryatt will be the league's top scorer, I'd be happy to take their money off them, and offer better odds than any bookie.

And if it happens your fooked Beckford will be top scorer, cant beat him for a fwd in this league
Ultra Posted 3 August 2008 Posted 3 August 2008 And if it happens your fooked But I've seen enough of Fryatt during the past two seasons to know that my money's safe...
JoeyB Posted 3 August 2008 Posted 3 August 2008 But I've seen enough of Fryatt during the past two seasons to know that my money's safe... I hope he is top scorer to proove you wrong
Spiritwalker Posted 3 August 2008 Posted 3 August 2008 I;ve already done a £10 Leicester /Reading and a £10 Leicester/Birmingham double and am thinking of a £10 Chelsea/ Birmingham/Leicester treble. I don't think Matty will be top scorer but 33-1 is good odds well worth a fiver.

To be fair to the lad, he's scored 4 times this pre-season. Although 2 of those were against non-league opposition.
