Matt Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 When I was playing on my mates XBox the other day someone picked Hull so I though ah i'll pick Leicester, When we go down to playing he had Fabregas, Messi, Henry, Beckham, e.t.c, playing for Hull online. When I was playing on my PS3 today someone picked Hamburg (I think) and again it had the best players in that team. How do you do this? Does anyone know? Or come across this before? When I find out i'll do it for Leicester and can play as them all the time and atleast i'll have half a chance then...

Not into one upmanship, but i also just annihilated arsenal at the emirates 8-0 with my man city team on world class. Santa Cruz x 3 Petrov x 3 Engelaar Tonetto (Scouted) incredible seeing as the game before we were beaten 3-1 by bolton.

morris1234 Posted 31 October 2008 Author Posted 31 October 2008 started with wolves a while back. got prooted with swansea and birmingham. playing on proffessional. im 11 th after 9 games, with 3 wins 3 draws and 3 losses one of those wins at old trafford. my team: ...................w. hennessey....................... j.kromkamp.....n.collins.......d.lugano........k.foley kightly.....koumas........j.ledley..........a.driver ..............lazovic............j.vaughan............. but i do change my team around a lot because in particular i love having a proper target man as the heading on this game is sooo much better. rest of team: g rasiak k.henry m.murray d.jones gasmi m.jarvis. r.stearman m.beevers. elokobi s.mcphail vaughan top scorer with 6 goals and is showing great potential. lazovic just finding his feet. as is driver. koumas is my star man. gasmi is a great super sub. love all my defenders. this game seriously needs work on manager mode but i think its a lot more realistic, i love grinding out results and getting quickfire goals! i went 1-0 down to bolton in my 3rd game, vaughan got 2 in 2 mintues and i won 4-2 in the end!

Matt Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 My god i'm doing terrible online. I started quite well, got up to Skill Level 2 staight away ever since, been doing awful, I've got a record of won 7, Lost 18 or something like that, It's embaressing. How the fook do you defend? Or score?

How the fook do you defend? Or score? I'm doing pretty well online. To be honest I only play online so I'm used to it. The key is to choose a team you are comfortable with and tactics that you are familiar with. I play with Chelsea with my custom 442 tactics. I've got a win percentage of 72% and ranked around 4000. It's all about practise - the more you play online the better you will get. Shame that FIFA still didn't sort out their online problems on FIFA09 - more often than not when you invite players to ranked matches (which is all I do because unranked matches don't count) it will freeze at the team selection menu.
