davieG Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 On second thoughts Burnley away the venue for some of the most boring football I've ever witnessed but would have been well beatable. Full draw: Arsenal v Sheffield United Brighton or Manchester City v Derby County Burnley v Fulham Portsmouth v Chelsea Blackburn v Everton Rotherham v Southampton Swansea City v Cardiff City Ipswich Town v Wigan Stoke City v Reading Leeds v Hartlepool Watford v West Ham Manchester United v Middlesbrough Liverpool v Crewe Aston Villa v QPR Sunderland v Northampton Newcastle v Tottenham

foxaholic Posted 30 August 2008 Posted 30 August 2008 I think maybe because it was a tight game and lost in the last minute im still gutted and would want to be in it still, but if we had gone and lost 4 nil then i cant say i would be too bothered. I think the players were just happy to put up a good performance . Whilst it could be considered sporting I was surprised the lack of protest when we scored what would have been the winner and it was disallowed . More fuss would probablly have meant extra time ,
Daggers Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 There's no loss of face from last night's result, there's little chance of a hangover to Cheltenham - probably the opposite as I think we are going to massacre them now, this Saturday. <smug> </smug>
