Steven Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Team from MB. Gillespie injured. Walker McCarthy Dabizas Dublin Maybury Hughes Williams Gudjonsson Tiatto de Vries Connolly Subs: Hirschfeld Moore Stewart Kenton Nalis
Ricey Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Good team, I would play Moore instead of Connolly though.
Mark Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Good team, i'd play Moore instead of De Vries though. *wishes for Dawson to be named as a sub*
Tommy Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 I would have played Moore instead of De Vries, considering Brighton have two tall centre backs who will just play for fun against de vries in the air today , so the ball along the floor may be the better option.
Louise Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Worth watching the other scores today, if we win we're basically safe from relegation points-wise, if we lose we could slip to 20th.
TornadoShaunUK Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 if we lose this ill be very angry - I'll be looking for ATLEAST a point from this game - we really should be winning this, looking up the fixtures we got some big games coming up against top half opposition, if we fail to beat Brighton today we could be making things very difficult for ourselves..
breadandcheese Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 I don't like McCarthy at right-back, but I'm guessing Kenton hasn't trained properly this week. Would rather see Paddy in the middle with Dublin. Also, bit of a weak team down the flanks but what can you do with the injuries we have. Bit worried that we have nothing really coming from the bench to change it about if we need (bar Moore), with two of the subs coming back from injury and Nalis in bad form. Anyway, come on city. A win today and safety is virtually guarenteed. Come on you blues.

He is ok for a place on the bench. Secondly the pitch is narrow so the flanks may not be able to be exploited as effectively as on other pitches.
Ricey Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Gillespie picked up a ankle injury in training so he is out for today.
breadandcheese Posted 9 April 2005 Posted 9 April 2005 Secondly the pitch is narrow so the flanks may not be able to be exploited as effectively as on other pitches. 90116[/snapback] That I did not know. In which case, maybe a good tactical decision for today's game. You are a fountain of knowledge Steven. Come on city

It was that your post highlighted the two things I picked up on when I heard CL announcing the side.
Steven Posted 9 April 2005 Author Posted 9 April 2005 WTF, they seem to be all over us. We are fast asleep.
