Johnstone's Paint Trophy

I reckon we'll be full strength tonight, not a game for a while thanks to Tunchev meeting up with Berbatov for a few pints. Pearson might be like "just go out and run yourselves into the ground"

11/1 to win it outright.

Might have a fiver...

Just been down Coral and the price now is 10/1 so that fiver you've had has affected the odds

I've had a tenner at 10/1 which reminds me of the bet I had in Cheltenham on saturday Chelsea to win the 4 timer £5 at 100/1.

9/1 on betfair - so the 10's wont be around for long if the bookies can't hedge on the exchanges should they take a large bet!

I didn't bother putting the fiver on till literally just before the match and still got 11/1. :giggle:

Whatever Pearson said at half-time the effect was like a conjuring trick cos Hartlepool disappeared and a much more real Leicester City appeared.

Another goal for Howard, Nicky Adams' opener for the club and Fryatt's sixth goal to give him twice as many as he managed all last season in the first month of this one! Fryatt must think he's in dreamland.

Oh yes and then there much criticised D.J. Campbell collecting two assists in half an hour to demonstrate that we have better reserve strikers than many clubs have first choices.

Nice too to hear the also criticised Paul Henderson making what sounded like a world class save on the line close to time and a welcome assist for Weso.

What is it now, 15 goals in 7 matches, and just the one defeat with only one goal conceded against the six non-Premiership teams we've played so far. That's some start and some turnaround.

Sounds like Luke O'Neill concluded his debut satisfactorily and what a thrill to chalk up a 3-0 victory to launch his career.

And fancy a ref from Derbyshire denying them what sounded like a cast-iron case for a penalty.

The journey home won't seem nearly so far as the journey there because Hartlepool had enough shots to suggest they're a capable side and would have taken some beating.

Hopefully we can replicate it on the 27th when points are at stake

Hendo wouldve saved the penalty, i think he saved 4 in a row last season!

I didnt listen to the game tonight but i think Hendo is definately better than Martin and also I hope Nicky Adams and Weso get a couple of starts in the League.

And how did the back 4 line up?

Surrah Surrah whatever will be will be, we're goin to wemberley.......

Well played boys we beat a team in the same division with 1/2 our regulars out the side

JPT Final 2008 footage

Might just have this to look forward to.

Grimsby And MkMongs.

Oh dear.

How anyone can aspire to be in their position is beyond me. Give me a couple of nice away trips (Not like Hartlepool) and then get knocked out at the quarters/semis, i'll be very happy.

Lovely little ground is Sincil Bank, Lincoln's a nice city as well. Wouldn't mind that too much.

Still wouldn't say no to a trip to Wembley though. Wouldn't be so nerve racking as a Playoff Final either cos it wouldn't ruin the season if we lost.

If we are to go to Wembley, I'd rather it be in this competition than a nerve-racking, all-or-nothing play-off final. Automatic promotion has to be the aim for the season.

I'm reasonably optimistic we'll secure that with a game or two to spare. A trip to Wembley, even for a Mickey Mouse trophy like this, would be great for the fans and a nice day out with very little hinging on the result. Like a friendly on steroids.

Barnet > Wembley.

Lincoln, Chester or Rochdale for me.

I've been Bury and will get a chance to go Huddersfield and Carlisle later this season.

Don't really fancy going Darlington or Rotherham where the stadium won't even be 1/5 full.
