Alexikokopops Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 Exactly. I'm pretty sure it's still in the house and I'm going to have a proper look in the bureau tomorrow. I've looked everywhere else. I'm trying to run a high class Bureau de Change, not some two bit nipple peep show in Rio de Janeiro!

Unit Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 Basically, I've seemingly lost my passport like an idiot and need some ID. Don't really want to be shelling out another £80 for a replacement so any ideas? Not fakes obviously, as I'm actually 18. NUS cards aren't reliable and it's the same for Citizen Cards etc. Oh yeah, can't be arsed to check if anyone's said already but you have to tell the police when you lose your passport or you can't get another one i don't think... same thing happened to me brother
Tommy G Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 Just get a provisional driver's license.Went out tonight without ID for the first time since I turned 18. First time I got ID'd since I turned 18 = / Schoolboy error!
Alexikokopops Posted 3 September 2008 Posted 3 September 2008 anyone else getting youtube in russia today? Your pa's video links to the Hartlepool goals were from the Russian version of YouTube, so now you'll have cookies remembering Russia as your location. If you delete them it'll go back to normal.

MikeyT Posted 10 September 2008 Posted 10 September 2008 Ive never been ID'd in my life and then got it twice in the space of one week both buying alcohol. Once in ASDA and once in Somerfield and i'm nearly 29!!!

The Blur Posted 10 September 2008 Posted 10 September 2008 Any nightclubs in Leicester in particular ask for any ID a lot or never asked for one? I'm having my 18th soon and will go clubbing but some of my mates are under-age ( I'm second oldest of my year) Not that Foxestalk condone any law-breaking I was hoping for some casual suggesting

Even at the bars around leicester, but definately at the main clubs. Increase you chances > a) if you are male b) if you are in a group c) if you dress like a chav d) if you can't walk straight.

Lovejoy Posted 10 September 2008 Posted 10 September 2008 It's a fooking pain in the arse here, but fair enough. The only place i don't get ID'd here is in the Pad. Same and Oxygen. But that place is guff. Having said that, last weekend I went to about 5 different places and wasn't id'd once . Maybe it's the new hairstyle .

Every single one of those is different to here. But thats us suv'nas for you. Gotta be different .

I must admit, getting into bars and clubs these days, age can be irrelevant, door policies will restrict the entrance of guys if the place is busy, and will only allow girls and couples!! I suggest getting to the bar and club early, possibly get chatting to some girls in the queue to look like your with them!!!

Tbh not usually a problem for me, I turned 19 yesterday so age hasn't been a problem for a while. Also if I wear a smart shirt instead of a stripy top, and as I don't have a skinhead, I get in much easier. Oh that and knowing the head bouncer at my favourite club , which often results in skipping the queue. What drives me mad though is that there is at least one place in town that lets girls in as young as 14 without id'ing them . Oh, and here there is a policy at a lot of places that lads and lasses can't come in together .

Next Girl infront... "Hi, were queing with you" Next girl "Move". Quality.

I don't think the entry problem is much of a problem in Leicester, the nightlife here isn't thriving, your quite lucky you know the door staff, that definitely helps especially if there's loads of you. I go out in birmingham quite often and getting into some trendy bars is a nightmare!! Getting a group of about 15 lads into one place is so difficult!!!! I get your point about letting young girls in, it's abit of a joke but those bars must be desperate for custom as a mate of mine who owns a bars says 'wherever the girls are that's where the boys will be also'!!! Obviously those bars will have a younger crowd and likely more trouble!!

Well Bedford is hardly amazing . 2 of the best clubs closed down within the last 12 months, which has made the remaining clubs bollocks . If I could afford it, I'd head to MK or Northampton more regularly.
