You not seen his goal against Fulham? That near enough won them the League two seasons ago. Yes because the defences in La Liga are much stronger than the ones in England. I could garuntee Messi wouldnt be as good as most people make out he is in England, he would get nailed week in week out and he could noway handle the physical side of the Premier League. Fact! Yes he is better than Messi.

He says to me about Ronaldo scoring 30 goals a season, but then says he does not think a player is just world class because he can score goals and attack... Oh and then he says about Messi ass licking.... He has a Ronaldo Man Yoo shirt (so I believe).... He is the one who loves Ronaldo.... Ass licking?? You decide.... Ronaldo is good, Messi is better.... Ferdinand makes to many little mistakes to known as world class and how people go on about him he is overaterd. Messi is overated Thomas, but unfortunetly you have fallen into the trap, just because he can take a player on doesnt not mean you are world class. There are many more better players than Messi in the world but I dont just think a good player is someone who scores alot or is an attacking player. please enlighten me and tell me who all these players are who are better than Messi ?

(Not saying you dont.) Or they just watch Messi in the Champions League? In my opinion Lampard is better, works harder, scores, creates, defends and is captain at times. This for me makes him one of the best players in the World along with others in my list. Just what I think.

I agree, Ronaldo is the best player in the world at the moment, and will win world player of the year, but I think Messi will be the one taking the crown off him in the next year or two

Messi's ball control is awesome, he was skipping past Evra and Ferdinand all night at Old Trafford and looked dangerous in the first leg, whereas Ronaldo was anonymous in both. This was after Messi had just returned from a 6 week injury layoff. It's not as if the CL semis were the first time Ronaldo disappeared in a big game either. The 2007 CL semis saw him humbled by Kaka and he was atrocious in the FA Cup final of the same year against Chelski. You could argue he was poor after Chelski got their act together (Essien at right back?! ) in Moscow as well. Agreed, Ronaldo will score for fun against the likes of Bolton, Fulham and Wigan, but against Barcelona, AC Milan and Chelsea you can see his limitations. Messi has demolished Real Madrid and Villarreal in La Liga in recent seasons, and reduced the European Champions to having to kick him to stop him.

Fair play. I suppose I don't remember because I don't really watch a lot of Premiership games as much as I used to. I have always said Ronaldo is a good player. I would never dispute it. It makes me sick in this country how they build him up, it was only a few years a go that he was being murdered by the press as a excuse for yet another poor England campaign. The press are the biggest ass licker's and a lot of people get brainwashed by them. It is a age old argument, It is a shame but the only reason our league is touted as the "Greatest" is because of foreigners, the players and the investment. Just look at our national team and you can see how poor we really are compared to a lot of others who have played us off the park. Italy and Spain, for example, Ok scandals have been well highlighted, as well as racism, but look at the infrastructure they have in place, look at the talent they produce, they have owners from there own country's, managers from there own country's who are world renowned. But still you hear the media slate them here, because we are so successful and so clean we can talk, the FA have swept so many things under the carpet it is unreal, At least when the scandal hit Italy, they did not hide it, they punished those involved. It is English arrogance that is all, we want to be the best, we think we are the best, but we are just so far behind we have to drag others down to make us feel better. ( I will never forget when I watched a Liverpool game in 2004 with my brother and the abuse the home fans said about one of there own players was disgusting, the player in question was Djimi Traore) I suppose it only happens abroad though, because we are so innocent here!
