TBF think he was saying KOL were a rip off of Paulo Nutini.

He likes Blink 182, Bullet for my valentine, Foo Fighters - Calling them a real band.

yeye t'was me and KOL are dogshite in my humble opinion, If appreciate they can play their instruments and that they are a rock band. but apart from that I don't think there anything special at all and like the red hot chillis once you've heard one you've heard them all . try and disagree stats don't lie

Ah yes I stand corrected, although openly admitting to liking blink 182 a band with some 25 year old's who dress like 14 year old's probably aint gonna get you any respect. Especially compared to a band who many artists class as one of the best rock and roll bands of the last 20 years.

I could reply quite civil to the last comment cause he said things half decent.. to be fair mate you chat bull..

ONE of the best rock and roll bands of the past 20 years, I don't know how you can say this at all.. they don't play any big festivals and I don't know if it's just by coincidence but most people I speak to who are into there rock music take a huge disliking to kings of leon cause there hoss

I respect your comments, but I don't agree with them.

I don't proclaim to know everything about music, but I no a fair bit, the thing is you can never please everyone, good job too.

No matter what side of the fence we sit on, I like KOL, you hate them.

Are we going to matter compared to millions and millions of fans.

They didn't just headline Glastonbury, which might I add drew one of its biggest crowds when they were on stage, in your own words, stat's don't lie. They don't sell out every tour they do?

None of there songs are covers.

If you are like blink 182 and the bands of that nature then each to there own, rather you than me to be honest.

Have blink 182.... Actually I can't believe I am mentioning Blink 182 in the same sentence as KOL.

Come on, I like Blink, but they're hardly the most innovative band ever are they?

I agree with you mate but they have a likeable factor about them.. there music is feel good music and can make you feel good

I think they aren't something the industry doesn't already have but they piss all over bands of there type there brilliant.. Tom Delange Travis barker.. living legends

Glastonbury.. the festival that used to be the bollocks, that this year turned in to a mega R'n'B festival that they couldn't give the tickets away for.. that one ?

you should have carried on honestly... noww thats a bit too far blink 182 are only 10 times better than KOL

you know blink 182 that went on a sell out world tour for 3 years yee there them

I quite enjoyed "Aha Shake Heartbreak" when it came out, as it was something the music scene was lacking for a couple of years - young, hungry musicians with a dirty touch (if you want, like the Black Crowes, but just a little sped up). "For Kicks" was stuck in my ears for months, because it was so raw and energetic. Don't remember much about the rest of the album.

Got myself the following album, and "Because Of The Times" was a 60/40 affair - I loved a slight majority of the songs.

The "new" Kings Of Leon sound way too polished and pop, I'm afraid and are beginning to act just like any other commercially successful band - making a label and brand out of their image, posing in fashionable clothes and reverting to superficial sounds that do well on the radio. I bet there'll be people walking around like them soon enough - Kings Of Leon have become a fashion statement.

I liked them better before.

Oh, and to all of you KOL lovers, don't read the Popmatters review of "Only By The Night". You won't appreciate it. :giggle:

No problem with liking blink 182 and not liking KOL.

Blink 182 were really poppy teenage kinda music KOL are more serious and have respect of many artists.

Apples & oranges if you ask me.

But each to their own.

I read the popmasters review Alexei.

At the end of the day there are going to be lovers and haters.

It is healthy if you ask me.

To me, I much prefer YAYM and Aha Shake Heartbrake, but I think on the whole, they have made 2 excellent albums and 2 good albums in my opinion.

I won't stop listening to them as you lot won't stop listening to the bands you like.

We can argue all day about it, there is just no need though, because it won't solve anything.

Let's just enjoy what we like.

Just got the new album today and am bloody loving it!

Always been a KOL fan, and this looks to be another quality installment.

Use Somebody is the standout track for me at the mo...what a tune!

Sure I read somewhere on this thread someone saying Caleb's vocals were shit? :huh: ...mental.

But you can't genuinley think that he has a good voice, surely :unsure:
