Ash Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 I thought Heath played alright , still seems nervous with the ball at his feet ,but now Keown is fit would you but him in the starting 11 for Derby or keep with the same 11 as WH game ?

Mad Dog Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 Whenever Keown is fit then he should partner Dabizas. But remember Heath had over a month of pre-season and had played 6 friendlies before Keown had even signed.
RoyFox Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 Tough one, Heath was a 'new man' yesterday, he actually looked comfortable with the ball at his feet!! (Shock). Rest assured there will be injuries so it wouldn't be too much of a problem. I'm just glad we have some really good Centre backs for this year. Dabizas, Heath, Elliot and Keown - could we ask for any better? I bet all the other teams are v jealous, I can't see us leaking many goals (although the left side is weak)
Steven Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 Heath until he proves that he is not good enough, as Keown is never going to be the future.
rotherhamfox Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 Ive never rated Heath and i just cant see him ever being this great youngster some of you think he will become, everytime i see him he's been very poor, looks very nervous, no pace, dreadful distribution both with head and feet. I would have Keown in everytime over Heath.
filbertway Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 Elliott and great in the same sentence, he was great 4 or 5 years ago but not now.
Ricey Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 Keown just for me. Heath was impressive yesterday though.
Mark Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 We need to look towards the future Keown can be a sub to bring on if we need to hang onto a lead, surely he'd know how to help things Heath for now but Stearman sooner or later, not much later
Oli Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 Keown. I like Heath alot. I dont rate Dabizas and I think it should be Keown and Heath at the back.
gagandeep Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 We need to look towards the future Keown can be a sub to bring on if we need to hang onto a lead, surely he'd know how to help things Heath for now but Stearman sooner or later, not much later keown for now, heath for injurys or giving keown a rest. next year if we go up then heath will not be good enough. the year after that stearman. do you think heath is good enough for the premier league? dynamite foxes Posted 8 August 2004 Share Posted 8 August 2004 people aren't talking about Elliot and he is a good championship defender he was a rock at Ipswich as for heath he looked strong and comfortable and won a lot of stuff in the air but Nikos was outstanding
Carlo Posted 9 August 2004 Share Posted 9 August 2004 Don't feel as confident with Heath playing as i would with Keown

Craig Posted 9 August 2004 Share Posted 9 August 2004 We need to look towards the future Keown can be a sub to bring on if we need to hang onto a lead, surely he'd know how to help things Heath for now but Stearman sooner or later, not much later *makes mental note of what petrescu said* I bet if we was 1-0 up vs Derby on wednesday night, and Adams brought Keown on for Heath in the 80th minute and we only drew or lost, you'd be slaggin Adams off summat rotten,
Mark Posted 9 August 2004 Share Posted 9 August 2004 Probably, as we shouldnt be just concentrating on trying to hang onto a lead really from 80 minutes, but we all know its going to happen so thats why i said it.
