Anyone here work/have worked in Argos in town?

What's the interview process like? I hear Argos do group/team building interviews and then I've heard they do 1 on 1s. I'd prefer the latter tbh but because it's only a Christmas job I doubt they'll waste their time with hundreds of 1 on 1s. :(

My friend recently went for an interview for the one in Beaumont Leys and yes your right he said they do alot of team building things. At first he said you get put into pairs and you have to find as much out about you partner as possible then you join a big group and you tell the group about your partner he/she tells them about you. He said then you do a big group job then go off your you 1 on 1s.

Hope this helps

Ugh, standing up in front of people sounds really annoying but I suppose everyone else with be nervous too.

Anyway, my mum's mate is going to put a good word in for me, so I'm hoping that will help me out.

Got it tommorow, bit nervous as it's my first interview. I'm hoping it'll be quite chilled and relaxed.

Good luck pal.

I had my first one about 2 week ago, I was bricking it but after a few minutes you get used to it and you'll be sound.

Blimey all that for a temp job at Argos. My interview for project manager was a piece of piss. And that position involved being in charge over 100 people.

Now I conduct the interviews lol.

But what I learned from being interviewed is make sure you are lively and happy, no-one wants to employ someone miserable.

Went alright, everyone was quite quiet at first but then people got into it more. I felt a bit overdressed to be honest, there were people who went in jeans and a hoody, in fact most people did. I went in a t-shirt and black smart jeans with shoes and there was one other bloke who did the same. I felt a bit out of place but then again I'm sure it lookd like I made the effort. I also asked a question at the end about chances of getting kept on, (how keen did I look) and hopefully looked quite good.
