Cheers mate and yourselves for next season, this division is such a nightmare to get out of i'am just so glad we have put ourselves into a position with four games left to do it, your right the support deserves it, there were over 10,000 at Wigan the other night

I'm afraid to say, having 2 cocky sunderland fans with me all day makes me want them to slip up, but you changing my mind, so good luck to ya.

To be fair though mate if you were sat at the top of the division, five points clear with four games to go you would also be slightly cocky :P

if you did, you wouldnt of said that

you sold out your 7500 well done, there was a few in our home ends and i doubt there was 8000 of you overall

oh, and where has 20000 of your fans gone from last season?

great support

dave whelan tell you sunderland didnt bring 10,000 ??? your great mate

i bet you wont even bring 2000 on saturday, sunderland filled their allocation when they came here earlier in the season and they wasnt even in your position in the league then.

i cant beleive you've got the cheek to try and mock sunderlands support, and as for asking where 20000 of their fans have gone ? dont you mean where have they come from ? :S

i could go on about your dour support all night but i cant be bothered its obvious you have no idea .

''dave whelan tell you sunderland didnt bring 10,000 ??? your great mate''

no

we've already sold 2000 tickets

''and as for asking where 20000 of their fans have gone ? dont you mean where have they come from''

no?

dour support?

what does that mean?

if it's what i think it means, then why dont you check our average attendances from the past 10 years. they have risen every season. you dont expect us to fill a 25000 seater stadium just like that do you, with the history of my club?

you see, fickle football fans like yourself dont see this

oh and btw, why when i see leicester highlights there are so many empty seats?

:smile::wave:

Don't Wigan have a messgae board you can post on?

And as for support I went to the JJB earlier this season and it was a horrible atmosphere. Probably the most OAPs I have ever seen at a football match, in the Wigan end of course and I don't mean that disrespectfully but your fans lacked voice and meaningful chants.

The fact that premiership football could be played there next season is laughable. I just hope we can knock some points off you to give Ipswich 2nd.

Posted

so what you're saying is, because of the amount of OAPS and judging our fans on 1 game we dont deserve to get promoted?

hhhm, sod the football we've played

take your idea to the fa, i'm sure they'll agree

and i have seen many times that alot of people on ere complain about the atmosphere at the walkers bowl

unlucky

Who gives a shit about support at the end of the day Wigan deserve to be where they are, they are a good team and actually have strikers who can score, they are not going to be caring about the support when their in the prem! Hopefully we can give them a game but I am not holding my breath the way weve been playing!

I'm suprised by your comment fox4life. Who cares about support?? Well I do.

If you don't care about support then why go to the games??? For me the atmosphere generated inside the ground at the Walkers or on an awayday really matter to me. In fact I would feel embarased when teams poke fun at our support because as a fan it's all I can do, "support".

Hell, I can't jump on the pitch and play, I wish I could but I cant and Wigan are playing good football but their support still aint great is it? so unless people are completely emotionless result whores I'd say "support" is quite a big factor in many peoples eyes.

If Wigan go up I guess they will sell a lot more tickets but the atmophere will still be poor and will never win admiration from other sets of fans.

Nathan Ell....... why would I go to the FA about you not deserving to go up? It was my opinion. And it's not because of the football you have been playing. It's because I don't feel you deserve a place in the premiership at the minute as in my eyes you have a sugar daddy at the helm of your ship who's aimlessly guiding a city disinterested in football through divisons.

Hey Julio.

I hope we can do you a favour. Looking at your side, it's not much better then ours, so how your top and we're 16 is incredible.

By the way, how's Piper doing there? He's not still injured is he

As soon as the kids are old enough to make their own travel arrangements, they'll go and support Manure or Liverpool instead. Then when they're too old for all the hassle, they return to their home team club, and act like they've never been away. It's not just Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton, Burnley, they're all the same.....

Suderland deserve to go up as champions in my book as they play some good footy and have good support. I cant help but copy this old post as it makes me smile and my smile will be even bigger when i collect £50 off of a cocky Wigan fan from work.

Oh come on next you will be telling me how big your club is and how many trophies you have won .what is your average gate.I am willing to put a few quid on your team bottling it !

Julio - can't wait for the City/Sunderland game next week. What size crowd are you expecting? 35K+? 40K+? Sell-out???

I'll be good to be inside a ground that's really buzzing - even if we're outnumbered!

[cracks fingers]

our team and how much we bought them for, because you think we are where we are just because of the money:

filan - 600k

baines - free

jackson- free

eaden - free

breckin - 125k

now is it me, or does the best defence in the league cost 125k?

teale - 250k

bullard - 275k

mahon/jarrett/kavanagh - free/free/400k

mculloch - 700k

and with the sale of roy carroll for 2.5m you could say we bought ellington and roberts with that money

ellington - 800k

roberts - 1.4m
