Fosse Boy Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 The chocolate bars or the transport service? I'll not hear a word said against the chocolate bars.
Samilktray Posted 9 November 2008 Author Posted 9 November 2008 The transport service. £10 to get into town around 9, in the space of 3 hours that had gone up to £25. Fcuk off.
Daggers Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 I'd never transport piles of drunk young people about at the weekend - the violence, the sick. They'd never stand for it.
stez Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 The transport service.£10 to get into town around 9, in the space of 3 hours that had gone up to £25. Fcuk off. in my 'going to town' heyday in the early 90's this taxi driver said to us how ridiculous it was that drivers were ripping people off by charging more than 11 quid after 12AM and said if we were quoted more than that we should argue them down to 11 quid, anyway, the following week we got a taxi from A-Zoom (as usual) "that'll be 10 -15 minutes mate" 1 1/2 hours later we get in a cab same driver as the week before quotes us 17 quid, we tell her what she said the week before "never said that mate". bitch.
Tilley Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 £8 to get there Friday night at about 10. £8 to get back at about 5.
Unit Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 4 quid from mine to town, same back. A tip for anyone going out in leicester who lives in braunstone/west end/markfield (anywhere on the way to the airport) You can get the arriva bus all through the night that goes to the airport, 12, 2am, 4am, 6am... cheaper than a taxi
Matt Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 Mine was £10 into town at 1am and £11 out of town at 6.30am, Not bad.
Scow Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 Sod taking a taxi - walking home is the way forward. A nice 8 mile walk sobers you up a little.
Maybes Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 The transport service.£10 to get into town around 9, in the space of 3 hours that had gone up to £25. Fcuk off. Pants. Pulled. Down. Haggle with the feckers they always reduce their fare.
Alexikokopops Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 I got a taxi last night. Spilt my Subway all over it. Glorious.
Lovejoy Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 I often just say how far can I get for a fiver, then argue abit extra onto the journey. Works a treat .
syston_fox Posted 9 November 2008 Posted 9 November 2008 I refuse to pay more than £13 for a taxi back to Syston. Black cabs are the way forward though - head round to horsefair street where they all park up and jump into one there.... or as you live in Thurmaston, just start walking down Belgrave / Melton Road and flag a black cab down on the way. Save you a few quid right there and if you're pissed, you don't even notice the walk.
