Brainy Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Squad Agbonlahor, Young, Mancienne in, Beckham, Rooney and Ferdinand out.
Joe. Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Good to finally see Young and Agbonlahor in. Will they actually start? Will they bollocks.
lildave3 Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 SquadAgbonlahor, Young, Mancienne in, Beckham, Rooney and Ferdinand out. Yes to Gabby and Young! Yes to Beckham being out! Mancienne is a shock, but he's been outshining Taylor for me when playing for the under 21's. I'm not sure about club level, obviously doing something right. He's not going to play, so it's not that big of a deal.
Corky Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 It's about time Young and Agbonlahor were given a chance with the senior squad. Well done to Martin for bringing these players on
Uncle Albert Posted 15 November 2008 Posted 15 November 2008 Cant see why people are so happy about Young and Agbonlahor to be honest, cant see them bringing anything new to the squad. But each to their own. Looking forward to seeing Lamps and Gerrard playing together again. Mancienne is a shock but cant see him getting a decent period on the pitch either. Good signs though.
Tevez Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 Chuffed for Mancienne, been following him for a while since QPR days. Doubt he'll get any time on the pitch vs Germany but he's got to keep on impressing Capello and others. Agbonlahor had a stormer yesterday vs the Arse, whether he gives England that dimension we'll see.
Simi Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 Another pointless inclusion, but good luck to the lad. Nice to see the convienent injuries to the big players for this meaningless friendly. "Wayne Rooney managed to fight off his serious case of AIDS to be back in the starting line up for United."
Simi Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 Gerrard ruled out , theres a suprise . Indeed, very convienent don't you think?
dandannieldanok Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 Gerrard ruled out , theres a suprise . Indeed, very convienent don't you think? Apparently he's got a torn leg muscle. I'm no physio or doctor, and I could be completely wrong, but surely a torn muscle would take longer to heal than the 7-10 days Liverpool say he'll be out. Tbh, I don't know why I'm even questioning it, I couldn't care less. Never liked Gerrard and given the performance in Croatia without him, I wouldn't put him in the team anyway. I'll be on my own, but I prefer Lampard.

Maybe thats the case but cant help thinking otherwise , lets see if he is in the Liverpool side next saturday
JakeShingler Posted 16 November 2008 Posted 16 November 2008 What is the point of this friendly? To beat the Germans
Ultra Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 What is the point of this friendly? Nice little payday for the German FA. I'm sure there'll be at least 50k there, including a fair few from England. As long as no-one tries to kick off World War 3, there's no problem.
Bert Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Capello's a dickhead. What on earth is he thinking calling up two of the most exciting prospects that England have?
Brainy Posted 17 November 2008 Author Posted 17 November 2008 Question: what would you prefer? A home WC Qualifier v Andorra, or an away friendly in Germany?
Uncle Monty Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Yeah i hope mancienne will get a look in at some point, ive seen him play. He does look a good prospect.

Wycombe Fox Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Jimmy Bullard in the squad!!!! Lampard out! My inside knowledge tells me there's a good chance that Bullard will start. Nudge nudge wink wink
Corky Posted 17 November 2008 Posted 17 November 2008 Parker's inclusion has puzzled a lot of West Ham fans. They say he's been their fourth-best midfielder this season. I'd like to see Bullard start.
