Tilley Posted 23 November 2008 Posted 23 November 2008 Hatton was far too powerful for Malinaggi from the highlights I've seen, thank god he beat the cocky tw*t.
Jay Posted 23 November 2008 Posted 23 November 2008 what a great photo!!! I bet it stung a little but the look on his face makes me chuckle

Matt Posted 23 November 2008 Posted 23 November 2008 I watched it. I said earlier I thought Hatton would be too strong but there was always a doubt that Malinaggi might just jab and move all night, he didnt Hatton was just too powerful, I dont think Malinaggi was happy the way it was stopped but he was getting a decent beating. If hatton fights again I might go. Ricky Hatton v Oscar De La Hoya @ Wembley Stadium...Please. (I like both fighters, but obviously i'd be supporting Hatton) Although Hatton did say after the fight last night about possibly moving up a weight again, despite Mayweather retiring anyone think he was suggesting bringing a rematch back home?

I dont think he'd be stupid enough to get in the ring with Mayweather again. And also I cant see Mayweather fighting again, he doesnt need to.
Uncle Monty Posted 23 November 2008 Posted 23 November 2008 Just read the report, Get in rikeh! good to see him get back close to his best.
lildave3 Posted 23 November 2008 Posted 23 November 2008 I dont think he'd be stupid enough to get in the ring with Mayweather again. And also I cant see Mayweather fighting again, he doesnt need to. I can assure you he would. He doesn't seem to fear anybody, even now. If he does go on and fight the winner of Pacquaio and De La Hoya then that would be a cracking fight.

And apparently it will be in England (Almost certainly they were saying earlier) as it would prove to be mega bucks at Wembley Stadium, It worked out as a sold out Wembley Stadium £50 per ticket = £27 million, and then you have to take into account PPV deals, Sponsorship, e.t.c.

Awesome, a normal time. Hopefully!
Tommeh Posted 23 November 2008 Posted 23 November 2008 Gutted I brought this then fell asleep, 4 am was just too much, knew I should have watched it down casino! But anyway well done ricky, sounds like he's getting back to his best after the mayweather battering, I actually think he would like another shot at him, it'd be epic as would a de la hoya fight.
Samilktray Posted 23 November 2008 Posted 23 November 2008 Mayweather has nothing to prove. Why he'd sign up for a meaningless fight is beyond me. He doesnt need the money either, Golden Boy Promotions is making sure of that.

Did you read the story about Lewis coming back last night? What a muppet. I know Mayweather's not been out for long, but even so. Still - I wouldn't put anything past the man. Someone turns around and offers him enough $ and I'd not be surprised to see him pop up in Hatton's office in a flash. "Needing" money isn't a concept that means anything to our Floyd, he just wants.

They don't call him Money Mayweather for nothing. The lad simply can't turn down a wedge. I reckon he'd fight Hatton again without a second's thought. I hope they get it on, but i'd like to see Hatton fight De La Hoya before hand, perhaps next summer and if he wins that then get Mayweather next winter and then put his feet up.
