Sabotage, hands down. Bitter Sweet Symphony's already been used before in this compo, hasn't it?

No... I don't think so. Maybe last year but I don't think so this year.

If I am wrong... something will have to be done about that.

Who-ever voted for Alice Deejay needs to receive a serious talking too and possibly a slap if s/he's attitude doesn't change. Mean two votes, come on!

to be honest i hang songs onto memories, so i can listen to (almost) anything fondly. i also like to listen without prejudice © george micheal.

having said that, it's not my song so i didn't vote for it, and i urge others not to either!!

Except it isn't.

Although Bittersweet is co-written by the Stones, from the days when they recorded classic tunes.

Here's the evidence.

as i remember it, and i've not opened the link so i could be wrong, the stones took them to court to get their names credited on the song, because after the verve had successfully got agreement to sample the stones' bit, they (the verve) actually used too much of the orchestral bit in the actual song.

As I remember it I think the Stones got all/most of the royalties because of that.

i was thinking that, but i think that actually happened to carter USM when the sampled ruby tuesday on 'after the watershed' could've been both though, i remember the stones being particularly stroppy during the 90's!
