Who should start on Tuesday with Fryatt against Crewe, Big Steve, or The Deej.

I think with Dj playing we look so much more dangerous and lively going forward with a bit more pace, while Howard wins headers, we struggle for any pace up front, Fryatt isn't quick enough to react to Howards headers, get the ball and make a chance or score.

I think Howard is like a giant weight sinking the boat on all our attacks, and making the entire attack look sluggish.

Dj may be offside a lot but at least he actually makes forward runs, Howard obviously can't really run at all.

I also think if Dj is given consistent games, he will eventually get a goal, and boost his confidence, eventually he will time his runs correctly, break through and score.

It also encourages us to play better football along the floor, pass it around a bit and not just avit up the pitch.

Crewe have the 2nd worst goal difference in the league and are bottom of the league, im assuming their defence must be shit so a pacey Dj could really trouble them. I mean they managed to concede 3 goals at home to Stockport.

So i would start Dj on Tuesday.

DJ gets caught offside too often, even I'll admit that, although in his defense I think a few of the decisions yesterday were very tight.

We looked much better going forward without Howard & I think Fryatt even looked better yesterday. We didn't result to the long ball and played football instead of lumping it up to Howard, DJ is still rusty but a few games, he'll find his feet, grab a goal, get a bit of confidence & be a much better player for it.

People just get on his back about offsides etc, but I would start Fryatt & DJ on Tuesday, against poor opposition, it is DJ's perfect chance to grab a goal.

DJ, Crewe would be the perfect chance for him to score. I'd also think Howard would be more effective being brought on if we need a goal, or even if we need an extra tall player for defending set pieces. If Fryatt wasn't scoring so much I'd be tempted to play DJ and Howard actually,I think DJ is more likely to get on the end of Howards flick ons, if he's onside anyway.

I would like to see Chambers up front with Fryatt, i really think they would make a great pair up front. If not then dj, i think he put himself about yesterday and deserves his place. Anyone but Howard really, as we get the ball forward quicker, more movement and pace and we look more of a threat and it encourages us to play football. There will be games where Howard will need to play for his strength and height, but not against Crewe

The Howard/dj partnership worries me, it didn't seem to work pre-season and it defo didn't work last season. But then you never know

I think it's pretty certain that Howard will start; and I think it's the right choice. Howard is crucial to the way we play, and although he's not been contributing much goals wise, his aerial ability and hold up play provides us with an outlet where we've built attacks from. For a player that's proven he can score in the Championship, I'm hoping it's a matter of time until he starts scoring more regularly, especially in light of some of his disallowed goals.

Maybe but both our goals yesterday came from DJ and Fryatt combining to set up the scorer yesterday, which for their first full game together, shows promise for me.

Howard won't score anywhere near regular again he can't get out of first gear and struggles to get into that without stalling.

Doesnt matter! Howard will start!

Im not saying its right, i would like Dickov or Chambers given a chance, especially next sat but Pearson loves Howard so i cant see any other decision!

Why only give the option to vote for Howard or DJ? What about Dickov and Ashley Chambers?

What about neither of them? Just have Fryatt up front and play 4-5-1 with Dyer and Adams providing support for Fryatt

Id like DJ to get another chance, yes he was offside way to much but perhaps he was trying to hard if that makes sense? a goal in my opinion for him would do wonders for his confidence and yes i like it when we play the ball on the ground not hoofing up howard most of the time, he has bags of pace as we all know. YO DJ PUMP THIS PARTY

Yeh, I can't see Pearson picking DJ over Howard but DJ does deserve another chance.

DJ was offside a lot but him and Fryatt both play across the back line, so it is bound to happen, as well as DJ's pace.

Still, that linesman didn't have a clue and having just looked at the matchday program I brought, one of the linesman was from Lincolnshire and the other one from Derbyshire

Good win though and two great goals.

Just out of interest, did you go to the game on Saturday?

I agree with your post, when Howard plays we look static up front at times and tend to run out of ideas. Playing Fryatt and dj encouraged us to play football and if we play like this against other teams in the league we have the potential to stuff them. I thought dj put himself about closing down and won the ball back afew times at crucial times in the game. Yes, he was off side far too many times (and he needs to sort this out) but S****horpe kept a high line other clubs wont push up on us so much and he will get thro defences, so i think he deserves to keep his place. I would like to see Chambers play up front with Fryatt tho

DJ for me, this is a fragile team low on confidence we're coming up against and if they're going to put lots of men behind the ball I'd rather we try and run at them and in behind them. IMO Howard won't be as effective in this type of game compared to others this season, he likes to drop off a lot and play in front of defences which won't help in games like this one.
