craigadams22 Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 Hi there guy's this is a vote in which Matt Fryatt would stay at Leicester City Football Club, He need's a new contract. I wouldn't sell him even for £20 million pounds, He's become a decent striker for the club over the past year or so. So let's get behind him and make him stay at Leicester City Football Club where he belong's Regards Craig Adams

Jack Posted 4 December 2008 Posted 4 December 2008 I think we should try and get him to sign a new contract, but if 2.5mil comes in I'd snap their hands off. Persoanlly I don't think he would hack it at the next level but hopefully if he bags a few more this season and takes the momentum to next season and his confidence will be sky high then hopefully he will be knocking 'em in at that level aswell.

ronnup Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 Anyone above league 1 will have a good look at his championship and think twice, and he'll not fancy going to a league 1 club. He'll be here. Peterborough though? I'd swap for Mclean.

Peterborough though? I'd swap for Mclean. Apologies to go against the grain here, but is he the only person who can score goals in League 1 or above? He has proved for the last few seasons that he can not consistently score at Championship level. I always thought that when fit Fryatt was a decent goal scorer, all that has happened is that the standard of opposition has reduced to a point where he looks a star. £20m or even £2m, get real he has 6 months on his contract left, he can sign for anyone in January for free and leave in July. There is not a player in the world worth £20 million for a 6 month contract. I think we should be looking at around £400k - £500k max due to the length he has left on his contract. I really don't know what the fuss is about. If he goes he goes, then DJ, Dickov, Chambers, or this new guy, will replace him and someone will score goals,, maybe not as many or maybe more, maybe Howard will be utilised better and be able to contribute more with a partner who supports him for once? Who knows? All I know is that I won't be throwing myself off a bridge or under the Midland mainline because the useless tossbag who scored less times for us last year than Frankie Sinclair scored own goals in the Prem!
