Carlisle United 1 - 2 Leicester City Post Match Thread.

Pretty good game. We played well in the second half, and King scored a good goal. Great to score from a set-piece as well. Played some nice passing football without really getting anywhere in the first half, and Carlisle probably deserved their lead.

Thought our fans were excellent, vocal all game and got louder when we were losing, I felt.

Five away matches I've been to this season- five victories :scarf:

And the Carlisle tannoy man- lol Found it very amusing when our fans started laughing.

As a resident of Carlisle and a lifelong follower of City, I am really going to enjoy the next few days!!! Thought we played very well overall, Howard was awesome! He was so unlucky when he hit the bar and if it had been Fryatt it would probably have gone in. I thought our support was brilliant and seemed far noisier than Carlisle's and it was great at the end when the team and Nigel came over to us. They obviously appreciated the support they received. To try and clear up who scored the winner, I thought it was Berner, and he was getting all the plaudits from the rest of the team. I shall be sad when we don't play at Carlisle next year, but what the hell, it'll mean we have been PROMOTED.

FOXES FOREVER!!!!!!!

On most sites it says Berner scored the goal, and he has been credited with it.

At one point it did say Davies on BBC but they seem to have corrected it.

I was convinced at the time and afterwards that it was Berner.

Didn't seem that long to be honest - probably because I was expecting it to be further than it actually was and was a great laugh on Fox Travel.

How badly damaged was C-man's coat in the end? :giggle:

I have a picture of C-man's damaged coat, in fact I have a picture of most things from yesterday :P Twas brilliant on FT, had a great laugh. I also got elbowed in the head when we equalised so had mini concussion on the way home.

I can see myself in that picture too, I'm in front of Santa Jobber and his chums. Was one of my best away games, quality shone throw in the end - I never thought I'd say that about Leicester either and I've watched them play for decades.

What a brilliant day.

For all you girls saying how tired you were when you got back - I drove over 400 miles, set off at 9, didn't get back to my village till 11 and then went to the pub straight after, bit of Kareoke to complete a fine day. Outlasted all my mates there too lol

We (I..) cut up the Birmingham city team coach on the way back, and my mate (Very drunk) took his city shirt off and was going loony out the window on the M6 at night. Nips? Ridgewell was laughing at him apparently!

Will update my blog after work tomorrow evening.

i like how even when these teams get beat they still say we were crap. ive read forums and managers comments from many games, most recently the carlisle and southend games and most have said the same sort of thing. ' leicester werent great , we were better' blah blah blah i know we jhavent been playing our best every game this season but who has, ever?! surely its a sign of a decent team that even if were not on our game that we can still come from 1 down at a manky cold ground 200000000 miles away and beat the pants off you!

'mon the foxes!

Ah bugger - knew there was something I was meant to do. After 36 games this season you'd have thought I'd have remembered to update mine when I have the chance by now  I blame LD3 for not nagging me!!

Loved David Martin and Jack Hobbs celebrations infront of the away section come the final whistle!

It was all about Bruno Berner's dancing when we were singing "we are top of the league"

I've just worked out yesterday probably cost me around 20 quid. Thats everything including petrol, pub before/after the match in Carlisle and then back pub in Whitwick when I got home.

Thats made my weekend :D

Would you like a badge or something, you big man?

Also It took me ages to realise that wasn't a City scarf you placed on me lol

Did Jack Hobbs do it too?

Only saw Uncle Bruno doing it on his own as the rest of the players headed back to the tunnel. Didnt see Hobbs and Martin dancing but probably was the same thing

Sorry English Lit 'A' student

I was answering your question for you.

A simple yes or no, may have been easier, as I'm still confused to what "'Mon" is.
