Head Honcho Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 If Mandy was not prepared to match a Championship teams offer and Fryatt signs for them. Who would you blame?
Kilworthfox Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 If Mandy was not prepared to match a Championship teams offer and Fryatt signs for them.Who would you blame? No that is how the world turns.
Matt Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 I would blame Manadric, especially now he has come out and made the statement he did yesterday. I would be disappointed in Fryatt but atleast he hasn't done what players in the past (i.e - Dickov, Connolly, Hume, e.t.c) by saying "Yeah i'll be staying and helping get Leicester promoted", Fryatt did a wise thing saying he likes it at Leicester, he wants to stay but he can make no promises.
harpendenfox Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Why blame anyone? I hope Fryatt stays, but if he wants to leave that's his choice. I dare say we're offering him an extremely good salary to play a game of football once or twice a week, and I certainly wouldn't want us to imbalance our pay structure by paying over the odds. The club is bigger than any single individual

lildave3 Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Blame him? No, not really. I'd just think he's a fool.
Kilworthfox Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Blame him? No, not really. I'd just think he's a fool. What for earning more money & playing at a better standard? Does not sound foolish to me!
Fox You Forest Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Blame him? No, not really. I'd just think he's a fool. You already do.
lildave3 Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 What for earning more money & playing at a better standard? Does not sound foolish to me! Yeah but will he actually play? I doubt it. If he stays and scores the goals that gets us up anyway, it won't be a better standard and plus he'll be a hero. If he moves he'll probably rot in some teams ressies and stall his career for another couple of years. You already do. True
Mickey O'Neil Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 No. The abuse he has had (minimal compared to some, i.e. Steve Howard) & whether rightly or wrongly, most people would just think '****it'. Who could blame him-I know I'd leave my job if I could get better pay, conditions etc. Saying that, I can understand it if he went to Wolves, Birmingham etc. But if a low, shite team like Coventry came in, I would be puzzled as to his intentions.
Alfie Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 The man would be a fool to leave. He is having the time of his life in this league. He must still be on a decent wage and is playing the best football of his career. He is hungry to get back to the championship and putting a promotion on his CV will look a whole lot better then putting Benchie for Palace or Wolves. To much money matters in football and jobs these days. People are so greedy. They will go to grab the cash regardless of what that might do to them in the long term. Rant over

Has he actually received any abuse at matches though? On here yes, but I remember pretty much every game last season there would be at least one point in the match where a lot of the crowd would be singing "duh duh duh duh, Matty Fryatt" even though he wasn't on the pitch. I sit next to Fez and it used to wind him up no end, which is probably why I joined in more often than not
Mickey O'Neil Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Has he actually received any abuse at matches though? Minimal There are a few gobshites that sit around me in SK2...I swear they must be so unhappy in their lives that they fcking moan and abuse players to make themselves feel better.
stez Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Minimal There are a few gobshites that sit around me in SK2...I swear they must be so unhappy in their lives that they fcking moan and abuse players to make themselves feel better. do you sit near scowy? anyway, i reckon he owes us a season or two, for the time he was addicted to toblerone
jamie_18 Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 i would be dissapointed if fryatt was to leave in january, we could have another commons situation on our hands tho where he told forest he will sign a new deal if they got promoted but look where forest ended up n look what happend to commons he didnt stick to his word, worth taking into consideration
Maybes Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Not really. He is trying to earn a living as much as the next man
