Uncle Albert Posted 28 December 2008 Posted 28 December 2008 The Power cruised through tonight smashing a decent player in Van Gerwen 4-0 and the fans favourite Mardle beat Thornton 4-3. Mardle's game had some controversy during the tie because when Thornton was throwing some crucial darts the crowd were putting him off but hardly Wayne's fault is it? Next up for Phil 'The Power' Taylor is Kevin 'The Artist' Painter. That will be a decent tie a repeat of the 2004 Final if im not mistaken.
dandannieldanok Posted 28 December 2008 Posted 28 December 2008 I wish I had Sky to watch some of this, I love professional darts played at the highest level. Looks like I'll have to stick with the BDO on BBC next week though, which in my opinion is just as good entertainment.

One of the best games ive seen for a while as well. Really thought Baxter was going to beat him. Gutted for Baxter i dont like Barny for some reason.

That soon cleared up when he won a few hands. The more I listen to James Wade the more I dislike the man. Saying all the darts players should watch out for him. I'm sure Taylor and Barney are running scared. Wish Mardle beat Stompe because tonight would of been electric. Taylor and Mardle matches are class.
