Will Levein get sacked.....

Will Levein get sacked if after 10 games next season, we are still producing the same results and performances as we have been this season?

Answers on a postcard.......

If he brings in plenty of new faces in the summer & results dont improve then his future at the club must be questioned, although ten games seems too little time for a what could be a new team to gel and settle.

I think if we're near the relegation zone then the fans will start to turn against him, which will make his position tenous. If we are midtable I think he will be given until the end of the season before any judgement will be made.

Will you lot force him out like you did Micky Adams?

Hope so.

Thats the answer - if we lose a couple of games early next season then no Levein will not be sacked - he will resign as he will be booed and abused by certain sections of our support

Taylor was sacked 8 games into the season. Sacking managers during the season is always pretty risky. The board should bite the bullet in the close season and get rid then.

Mr Walsh will then have time to thump a few of our ne'er do wells and shirkers...

If we have another season like this I reckon he will leave one way or another. Although if it's a midtable run I don't think that will be enough for him to get sacked - seeing as it will be a movement in the right direction in comparison with this year.

i hope he wouldn't get sacked although i agree the supporters would be getting edgy and as we saw last night there is a minority not afraid to show their true feelings (re the disgraceful booing of de vries).

however my question is this what manager would come to city if levein was sacked? that would be a string of so called bright young managers (taylor, adams, levein) who were sacked for not living up to the impossibly high standards o'neill had set previously. given our money worries as well you'd be able to count the applications for the job on one hand...

People will turn against him and there will be a lot of pressure on him whether he can handle it or not remains to be seen. If 10 games into the season we are in the bottom half then yeah he should be sacked. Maybe he deserves a bit more time but we're a big team and he's got to face the reality that if we don't perform next season then his jobs on the line.

Give levein till christmas before judgement is passed. You lot are a tough crowd :)

But teams bottom at Christmas apparently always get relegated although WBA look like they could escape the drop. Around October Levein will have his team so there will be no reason why we won't perform.

Very unlikely

Do that & certainly it's another season written off, more than any previous season.

Why?

Because each manager likes to bring his own players in & with the transfer window in force that can't happen until January.

Look at the clubs at the top this season - how many have new manager appointed this year.

McCarthy, Jewell, Royle, Burley etc have all built sides over more than one season.

excellent point and yes he deserves a CHANCE. Still dont think he is the right man for the job hope to be proved wrong

Whats your basis for that response?

...which is an excellent reason for booting him out as soon as this season ends.

Babylon, you only have to look around at other clubs and you'll see we aren't any different. Fans have booed and slagged off managers for years even when from a neutral position you can't understand why. Millwall fans want Wise out, West Ham want Pardew out, Sheffield United have gave willy puller alot of stick too. It's happening at almost every club in the country as 75% of all clubs aren't meeting expectations that the fans, media, etc put on them.

The thing is we only really get to hear about our fans moaning about our club/players/manager. But if you spent the day on another clubs forum and went to a few of their games you'd see we aren't much different.

We all want our team to succeed and the problem is fans often don't take in to account how hard it is to make a team successfull and that's why knee jerk reactions happen. This doesn't just happen in football it happens in all market orientated aspects. If your customers aren't happy with your product they'll kick up a fuss, without thinking about whether they'll be any better off by kicking up a fuss.

I reckon they should ban football, that will solve a few of our problems! :D:D

**** it i'm off to drink bitter and lick some peanut huggers.

Couple of things...

Firstly, 10 games into the season is just too little time. I believe CL and the players should be given a full season to prove themselves. Don't forget that there is likely to be a high turnover or players in the summer, just like there was last summer, regardless of individual skill it takes a while for players to gel into a team.

Secondly, we may be a big club in terms of attendance, but in terms of finances we are struggling. Any signings we may are going to be ruled by what funds are available. CL, just like MA before him, is going to have to his hands tied in terms of the quality he can bring to the club.

I'll be happy if we finish in the top 10 next season and can see things improving behind the scenes with the academy and youth teams.
