billyfox1 Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/f...res/default.stm Does anyone know if the replay is on telly? I can't find it anywhere but why are we the only 8pm kick off?
Nick Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/f...res/default.stmDoes anyone know if the replay is on telly? I can't find it anywhere but why are we the only 8pm kick off? Quite possibly: Blyth Spartans vs Blackburn is on live tonight which is an 8 o clock KO..... However it will depend if Setanta for example get their pick of 3rd round replays to televise..... its not on the FA website under 'live' games yet.
carterfox90 Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 if we are on the telly that means we will play crap & lose & get back to the most important thing this year which is promotion instead of a cup that we have no chance of winning & getting injurys & suspensions in
StanSP Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 I see carterfox90 is quiet the optimist!! Who gets first pick of 3rd round replay tv ties?? Suppose same question goes for 4th round too - Setanta, ITV, Sky?
Fosse Boy Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Surely Histon v Swansea, Cheltenham v Doncaster or Birmingham v Wolves would be more viewer friendly matches? Oh well, omens are good if the last few times we played Palace on TV are anything to go by!

What were the results then? Don't think Cheltenham v Doncaster is that viewer friendly - our match is equivalent in terms of Division status, but ours involved 2 better teams!! I bet Southend v Chelsea will be on TV.

andyh1884 Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 I imagine it's a 8pm as I'm fairly sure Palace always kick-off at 8pm for midweek games.
Sods Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 I imagine it's a 8pm as I'm fairly sure Palace always kick-off at 8pm for midweek games. This is the correct answer.
CosbehFox Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 There's more chance of Lucy Pinder declaring her love for me on Celebrity Big Brother this evening than is of either the replay or the possible 4th round tie being televised.
JoeyB Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 If it is 8pm. Makes it alot easier for me to get down, but it will be hard to get back for the train.
maddog Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Chelsea Southend will definately be on telly i rekon. Possibly Hull Newcastle, Histon Swansea. Our game might make that random Spainsh channel though who knows Infact Hull Newcastle Chelsea Southend are on the same day so probably only 1 will be shown on TV or will they show both Weve got 0 chance of being on telly, good chance of being on the random spanish channel though, they showed the Dag n Red and Stevenage game.
CosbehFox Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Chelsea-Southend and Brizzle City-Pompey are the televised replays. We were shown on Hong Kong and Spanish telly for the 1st and 2nd rounds because we simply the biggest club on show that day.

Really narrowing it down there
maddog Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 This is the correct answer. Nope. They play at 7.45 normally.

Call back Barry, Quick Time And were also on sky the week later
billyfox1 Posted 6 January 2009 Author Posted 6 January 2009 That'll be a no then. http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/New.../FAC_TVTies.htm
Ultra Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Not unless like last year on the monday, barry hayles last minute winner, was on sky.Call back Barry, Quick Time Hayles is back, but he's suspended..
andyh1884 Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Nope. They play at 7.45 normally. Perhaps you could have a look here, look for midweek games at home and then look at the kick-off time. It seems to say all home midweek games kick off at 20.00
Corky Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Perhaps you could have a look here, look for midweek games at home and then look at the kick-off time. It seems to say all home midweek games kick off at 20.00 They generally do in London, you're right.
Nick Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 However, Justintv may be worth a peek...... they may show this abroad..... if not you may be able to watch a live suicide... it's all about choice.
CosbehFox Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Did you know it's 9 years since Manchester United haven't had a FA Cup tie televised?
