SOCCERROO FOX Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 I just want to know if, as you get older you lose a bit of immaturity and become all serious and boring as i really don't want it to happen life would be boring. Cos i hope i don't nothing beats doing something a little silly and having a laugh or just have a joke around cos you can (not at peoples expence). I'm just hoping that i don't wake up one day and take life too seriously and god forbid "grow up" entirely.

I'm just hoping that i don't wake up one day and take life too seriously and god forbid "grow up" entirely. you (well i) tend to become more thoughtful, regarding other peoples feelings, as you see why people do things certain ways (except when driving), and as you leave home and start to have to look after yourself a bit more and not have mum there to clean up after you, you have to think about bills and such like. however you can still have a laugh, and a sense of humour, it just matures like a fine (australian) wine. having said that, there is still nothing funnier than seeing someone trip up a kerb.

My mum has given up on hoping I will one day start being mature (the way she wants me to be) No, seriously.... I guess the answer is you don't have to lose all your immaturity, though you probably lose some (definition of growing up). Some just get older and not much wiser though...

The only aspect of my life i take seriously is work and all the older ladies at work think im a very mature young man but i have to be. I manage a team of 15 and im the 2nd youngest in that team but i work hard (most of the time) and am mature. Once work is finished im very unserious and all ways having a laugh and constently making a dick of my self. Thats the part i don't want to ever lose, if i have kids i want to be the cool dad for instance but strict.

What I'd say is: you have a plan, something you want to be/achieve and you are working towards it. Don't let anything stop you achieving it. Plus, it is a good sign (of maturity, but in a nice way) that you are even asking yourself these questions! Keep up the good work...
