Dr The Singh Posted 22 January 2009 Posted 22 January 2009 Don't celebrate it, me and the mrs have been out on valentines before and have found the meals overpriced, hurried, not as good if compared to a usual night!!! Might by her a card, we tend to go out a week before or after instead, just as a treat!!!!
The People's Hero Posted 22 January 2009 Posted 22 January 2009 When you're with me, EVERY day is like Valentines Day.
Finnegan Posted 22 January 2009 Posted 22 January 2009 Despite the leftist protesting, what I actually hate the most is the predictability of it. It's actually the most unromantic day of the year becuase it's the only day of the year they tell you to be romantic. Maybe I'm just a closet emo at heart, I don't know. But to me romance is in part about being spontaneous and thoughtful - not doing corny things you saw someone else think up on a day of the year some corporations told you to. Edit: And I'd like to say I'm not actually a total kiljoy about it. If this weren't a forum I wouldn't be ranting, if people want to 'celebrate' Valentines in life then that's their business and I just smile politely and go "oh, that's nice." And if the missus was really uptight about it I'd go along with it. I'd just be disappointed she was that naive.
Dr The Singh Posted 22 January 2009 Posted 22 January 2009 When you're with me, EVERY day is like Valentines Day. Hmm, that means, the meals overpriced, hurried, not as good if compared to a usual night and a total waste of money!!! But I still love you Ph!!

When you both have quite busy lives, it's generally kept clear, paving the way for se... romance, which is ideal.
Alexikokopops Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 My girlfriend's getting a saveloy for Valentines Day. That's not a euphamism. Everyone loves saveloy.
