SamL Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 Yeah red. Prefer black or blue but cannae be picky really! Bet your insurance is a bomb or are you on your parents policy? Good choice How much was yours mate? I would've preferred a different colour as well but there was a good deal to be had so I couldn't be picky. Red's not bad though. It would've been around £2100 on my own policy or £1050ish on my parents so I'm on my parents. The good thing about that is that I can still wrack up my no claims.
JoeyB Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 Mines a 1.25...Does the trick. Have got 110mph out of it. Your mums. I like it, just think it needs a bit of a body kit at the back as i don't like the rear end But i think im having it. 4285 + my punto. for a 1.25 Zetec climate, 06 plate, 15k, not bad i suppose eh

Its my mums car she got it brand new in 2004 at around £5500, not had any problems on it either! Great cars. Love mine
JoeyB Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 Anyone know where i can get a decent rear bumper from? As i don't like the current one on the Fiesta, only thing putting me off. (got to be tonic blue) tho

You buying it? Its my mums car she got it brand new in 2004 at around £5500, not had any problems on it either! Great cars. Love mine I love mine as well, only had it around 2 weeks. £5500 was pretty good for a brand new Fiesta then.

act smiley Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Who ever mentioned Alfa Romeo. I bought a 155 the other month (by which I actually mean the very start of this one), its lovely and cost £950, so the same as my old Rover! Result! Rather that than a brand new Daewoo Matiz!
General Smuts Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Well having just had 3 points lovingly attached to my licence theres no chance of me affording insurance now so i shan't be getting a car for a while.
Thracian Posted 26 February 2009 Author Posted 26 February 2009 Anyone know where i can get a decent rear bumper from? /quote] There's two girls in Arizona might up for something like that! Sorry, I'll get me coat!
JoeyB Posted 27 February 2009 Posted 27 February 2009 Well having just had 3 points lovingly attached to my licence theres no chance of me affording insurance now so i shan't be getting a car for a while. Unlucky pal.
General Smuts Posted 27 February 2009 Posted 27 February 2009 Unlucky pal. It was on a car borrowed from Nissan as well. Felt a mug when i got that.
JoeyB Posted 27 February 2009 Posted 27 February 2009 It was on a car borrowed from Nissan as well. Felt a mug when i got that. HaHa, as if Nissan cars go that fast where you can get caught speeding.
Steven Posted 27 February 2009 Posted 27 February 2009 Age is irrelevant. Coolness isn't. Buy an Alfa. The '90s ones are really cheap to buy. You mean the ones that haven't rusted away.
Samilktray Posted 27 February 2009 Posted 27 February 2009 Anyone who drives an Alfa gets my full respect. Beautiful cars.
General Smuts Posted 27 February 2009 Posted 27 February 2009 HaHa, as if Nissan cars go that fast where you can get caught speeding. On the way back from the petrol station - on my way to work on a saturday. Unpaid. In a 3.5l Auto Murano. That ****er drove itself. I did nothing! Nothing except 42 in a 30 (which i coulda sworn was a 40). I didn't even see the stationary police van.
CupidStunt Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 I might be looking for a cheap runaround, nothing more than about 1ltr engine, dont care what condition its in or if it has dents etc or how old it is,want to pay just a few hundred quid, something like an old nissan micra or punto, with some sort of m.o.t would be nice Just something to get me work and back to save on fuel and clocking up the miles on my new M3 Evo.
Floating Fox Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Well having just had 3 points lovingly attached to my licence theres no chance of me affording insurance now so i shan't be getting a car for a while. Get a caravan mate. Would complete the pikey image.
JoeyB Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 Torn between 2 cars now. Ones a Renault Clio 1.4 DynamicLink - which pretty much has everything im looking for apart from Air conditioning and a shit radio. The other car is a 1.25 Fiesta, which is a style Link The main problem with this one is its a 1.25 and im looking for a 1.4 but its pretty much the same. This doesn't have alloy wheels or front fog lights but has air con and the climate pack. Fiesta has 4500 Miles on and is £200 cheaper than the clio which has 21000 miles on, Clio is 06 plate Fiesta is 07. Im really struggling to make up my mind, i like them both, just don't know which to go for .

My missus had a clio, and i hated driving it,and that was a clio sport, and the parts are a fooking rip off Clio is overpriced i reckon, its not worth best part of 6 grand I dont like fiesta's either, but if i had to choose,it's be the ford you should beable to get the car you are looking for around the £5k mark, with 1 owner and possible some dealer warranty

But im not sure Clio - 3 years old - 21,000 miles 1.4 ---- No Air con Fiesta - 2 years old - 4,500 miles - 1.25 -- No Alloys, No Fog Lights, £200 cheaper.
General Smuts Posted 8 March 2009 Posted 8 March 2009 Currently driving this. It's frankly gorgeous, best i've driven yet.

Are you limited to buying from that particular garage? What deal have you negoiated so far?, have they knocked anything off the price?, I would ask them to put some alloys on the fiesta buyers market at the moment The £350 for 3 years cover,is that some sort of private warranty,i.e autoprotect?, if it is,i have one,and there shite
