Jimmy Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 I received a call after the game from my brother asking me if I'd gotten away ok as the Huddlesfield fans were kickinmg off and his mate had took a pasting... did anyone else see or hear anything happening?
C-man Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Doesn't suprise me. They had a fair proportion of thugs at the away game. I remember watching it get heated in Huddersfield town centre from the station.

backinthebigtime Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 There was a guy laying spark out just outside the ground near to the away end but I couldnt tell wether he was one of ours or a Northern Monkey. The old bill were in attendance and had a couple of lads held against the stadium wall while they were trying to sort out what had gone on and who had done what to who. The old bill also seemed to have a number of their "boys" circuled just as they had exited the stadium but there didnt seem to be anything major going on.

I have no problem with fans who want to fight each other doing so, but thats cowardly.

Sparky Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Saw trouble before the game , Hudders minibus was parked outside the ground and two city "fans" approached the bus giving them some stick , Hudders fan jumped out to respond and The city "fans" gave him a shoeing before stewards and old bill got there

However they are not their typical away support. They were not exactly fearsome fellows near L1. They do seem to behave as if it is their big day out in the smoke when they come here as they all clamer over to L1 at half time even though there is only 20 -25 of them and L1 must have at least 50 people who if they could get away with it would make their day to scrap with a person from another English settlement.
