TownandProud Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 My hands are agony and my knuckles are bruised, northern monkeys must have hard heads! We do my friend!
leicesterseddon Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 that was a funny game. they brought a few but most were daytrippers. thing is the way the game panned out they throught they could give it the biggun'. i'm glad they did tho because it made the game better. i forgot how much it makes the difference when we have a few away fans there.
Ross-Kemp Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 First of all, I know the bloke who got "knocked out" so to speak... He's a decent bloke, don't know what happened in the build up to it though. The trouble near the mini-bus started, when 4 of there older lads approached my pal who had made the trip up from London for todays game, gave him abit of stick about being Asian, my mate gave him some back, then all of a sudden, they came off the bus throwing beer cans, my friend got punched, so as I pulled him away, I also took one, few more punches were thrown, but the police and stewards stepped in. Bullies IMO, didn't start with any of the older lads from Leicester, just us young'uns. And the stuff that kicked off midway through the 2nd half, (the two young lads who got thrown out), I drink with them both, and they got thrown out for the most pathetic reason, when we scored the 4th, they got a little excited, and they fell down a couple of rows, so the police decided to throw them out. Now, throwing people out for celebrating, is diabolical in my eyes. One of the lads has recieved a 3 game ban, and the other lad was arrested and took to Euston street, still not heard from him.

Sorry to hear about you and your pals Ross. If the lad has been nicked with regard to Section 27, he could be well and truly fooked!
Ross-Kemp Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Sorry to hear about you and your pals Ross.If the lad has been nicked with regard to Section 27, he could be well and truly fooked! May sound silly, but what does that involve etc....
GLC Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 May sound silly, but what does that involve etc.... Summary 2. Section 27 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2007 introduces a new police power to give directions to leave to individuals to leave a locality. This is where an individual’s presence is likely to cause or contribute to the occurrence, repetition or continuance of alcohol-related crime or disorder in a locality and it is necessary to remove the individual from the locality for the purpose of removing or reducing the likelihood of there being such crime or disorder in the locality. 3. A direction to leave prohibits an individual aged 16 years or over from returning to a specific locality for a period not exceeding 48 hours. The power should be used proportionately, reasonably and with discretion in circumstances where it is considered necessary to prevent the likelihood of alcohol-related crime or disorder.
C-man Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 May sound silly, but what does that involve etc.... The Football Supporters' Federation are currently campaigning against it, because it basically gives the police authorisation to hand out banning orders on the spot. All the details are in that link, but the vast majority of cases of this occur in pubs, so your mate should be fine, depending on how much he'd had to drink.
Ross-Kemp Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Cheers lads And the lad who is still being held, was sober

Anything stronger than Vimto seems to get some folk out of their minds but they were quiet as lambs they were when sidelined by the police, at least from what I saw. Probably having a day away from the tribal districts they've probably lost control of now and thought they could take it out on a few harmless young uns down here.

Acetripper Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 Very sorry to hear of trouble at the game. I didn't see a thing. In fact everybody seemed really friendly after the game, wishing each other well etc. Isn't it the case that those who go looking for bother usually find it? The thing that sickens me is how 'hard men' always walk the earth in gangs. Very Hard! But an innocent individual walking home peacefully after a game being attacked is a total disgrace. Like folk have already said every club has its goons and I suppose unless we devise a method of firmly dealing with these sad specimens that will always be. Mind you, silly stereotypical jibes about Northern Monkeys and Yorkshire men having chips on their shoulders don't exactly contribute anything positive do they? AceT (HTFC)

AceT (HTFC) ace im sure your one of the decent fans...name calling can amount to banter we take it as much as you do by other teams.."little india ect" but whacking an inocent supporter just walking home is the pits..i hate any form of violence. but you play the game win or loose you walk away without the need to put somebody in hospital..we have our fair share of idiots who to me are scum also if they feel the need for violence at a football match..i took my 13 year old yesterday he said" i had a great day up to that point dad now my day feels spoilt".

markbsac Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 Totally right mate! Sorry your son had to witness such nonsense too.AceT no worries ace once i had explained to him that these things happen..it alway has and its only a minority, he did want me to take him to an away game..but now wont go as he has a fear something may happen to him.hes a level headed lad and also does not like violence........but i said it happens just learn to deal with it.
Ross-Kemp Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 It was your typical david v goliath game, was always going to be some trouble. I spoke to a few decent Huddersfield fans, and they wished us well for the rest of the season. But as we've seen many times this year already, Leicester away. Idiots day out.
C-man Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 AceT is right, the northern monkeys and yorkshiremen 'banter' is just pointless.

Perhaps you'll enlighten me about "dealing with" some arsehole coming up behind you and whacking you over the head.
Corky Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 As I was walking down Burnmoor St I saw a group of lads hanging around on a corner, presumably waiting for trouble. There was some trouble after the match at their place, so that may've been a factor.
JakeShingler Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 There was something a bit lower down from me that happend half way through the 2nd half. I am not sure if anyone from Uddersfield tried to cross the Police line or not. My 2 mates gor man handled First of all, I know the bloke who got "knocked out" so to speak... JoeyB Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 6 arrests yesterday . 4 City - 2 Huddersfield. Same as the score.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 Doesn't suprise me, having lived there for three years I know the place is full of tools.
