Tevez Posted 7 February 2009 Posted 7 February 2009 Leicester Train Station, I had 70p to my name and Wine Gums were 70p. Luck must of been on my side as two packs come out. Very Happy days Has anyone else had the same experience?
Tilley Posted 7 February 2009 Posted 7 February 2009 I was thirsty as fuck, no shops, just a vending machine. Put a quid in it, clicked for a drink & it got jammed. Wasn't impressed. This was also at a train station.
Koke Posted 7 February 2009 Posted 7 February 2009 No. But vending machines who refuse to take my one pound coins get on my tits.
LeeCovFox Posted 7 February 2009 Posted 7 February 2009 Quite often our venfing machine at work drops two bags of crisps for the price of one as the first one gets stuck. I've been on the receiving end of bastard ones though. Another machine at work dispenses sandwiches. I put two quid in and the bugger wasn't having it. Couldn't get my money back either. What a willy.
Staf Posted 7 February 2009 Posted 7 February 2009 Yes on platform 3! Put some money in for a Irn Bru and it kept saying "another choice". Jokers ended up with a fruit shoot
cisono Posted 7 February 2009 Posted 7 February 2009 I was thirsty as fook, no shops, just a vending machine.Put a quid in it, clicked for a drink & it got jammed. Wasn't impressed. This was also at a train station. That is just NOT on. (Are you sure it was actually a vending machine and not just some kind of con to get people's money?) Did you get your money back and/or a drink in the end?
MPH Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 got 4 bottles of drink when i only put a quid iin at work. someone else got 3 another day from same machine. another work colleague got 2 a different day. same machine. Leicester royal infirmary, balmoral building level 4.

No. But vending machines who refuse to take my one pound coins get on my tits. do you not give your pound coin the 'magic rub'? works (almost) everytime!
Tilley Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 Did you get your money back and/or a drink in the end? Neither!
cisono Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 that's how it all gets evened out! "Robin Hood" vending machines?
Brainy Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 My mate paid 50p for something the other day and got 50p back for it.
BoneDog Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 In the Metrodome Leisure Centre last season before the Barnsley match I got 2 bags of Hula Hoops for the price of one. I was frickin buzzin. The queue for a pint soon wiped the excitement away though. All in all with the free bag of Hulas and the excellent win it was a good day.
Edmund Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 I once bought a bottle of oasis only to reach in to the compartment where it comes out and realise some mug had dumped there half eaten ice cream in there. Just put my hand in and came out covered with fooking twister all over my bloody drink and hand.

Ashley Posted 8 February 2009 Posted 8 February 2009 Explain.? You can get keyrings which are the same shape and weight as a pound coin which when you go shopping you place this to get your trolley out instead of a pound coin, being a keyring it has a whole which you can thread cotton/string through push this into a vending machine and it goes past the sensor and shows up as a pound on the screen, pull it straight back out tho. See image below

Surely that would come under counterfeit as it is made to be the same size as a £1

Bert Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Most vending machines won't let you refund, only give you change when you've bought something Yeah. You have to go and get someone to open it up for a refund. Just use a ruler up the side of the vending machines to push the springs back and get free stuff thatta way.
