demon_dog Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 Ok so we're all on a high after tonights win at Yeovil.7 points clear at the top of the league, 10 points clear of 3rd place. The question is can we keep it up? How do you see the next five games going? 1. Hudderfield Home Won last fixture 3 -2.....................Won 4 - 2 2. Brighton Home Lost last fixture 2 - 3.........................Drew 0 - 0 3. Northampton Away last fixture Drew 0 - 0.................Won 2 - 1 4. Walsall Away last fixture Drew 2 - 2..........................Won 4 - 1 5. Oldham Home last fixture Drew 1 - 1 (Live on Sky).....Drew 0 - 0 3 Draws, 1 win, 1 defeat. Will we improve on this? 11 points gained as opposed to 7 last time round. Looking at the next five games we have; Swindon Drew 2 - 2 .......................Drew 1 - 1 Hartlepool Won 3 - 0 Bristol Rovers Won 2 - 1 Mk Dons Won 2 - 0 Stockport Drew 0 - 0 That gave us return of 11 points. How about this time round? Sorry to say it but I'll say only 5 points as we seem to having a bad patch at the moment. Hope I'm completely wrong on this though!
Stig the Lawnmower Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 8 points, assuming we lose at MK dons.
Salieri Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 Swindon Drew 2 - 2 .......................Drew 1 - 1 Hartlepool Won 3 - 0.......................Win 2-1 Bristol Rovers Won 2 - 1..................Win 1-0 Mk Dons Won 2 - 0..........................Draw 2-2 Stockport Drew 0 - 0.......................Win 2-0 which equates to another 11 point return from the five games. optimistic I guess, but I think the upcoming away games will be good for the team.
Ibbyfox Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 Looking at the next five games we have;Swindon Drew 2 - 2 .......................Drew 1 - 1 Hartlepool Won 3 - 0 Bristol Rovers Won 2 - 1 Mk Dons Won 2 - 0 Stockport Drew 0 - 0 That gave us return of 11 points. How about this time round? Sorry to say it but I'll say only 5 points as we seem to having a bad patch at the moment. Hope I'm completely wrong on this though! We won this one 1-0, the 3-0 was in the JPT. Do I get the top award for master pedant? I reckon we will get 9 points - 2 wins (MK & Hartlepool) and the rest draws while we struggle as yesterday.
Guest Bilo Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 Swindon Drew 2 - 2 DRAW 1-1 Hartlepool Won 1 - 0 WIN 3-1 Bristol Rovers Won 2 - 1 DRAW 1-1 Mk Dons Won 2 - 0 WIN 1-0 Stockport Drew 0 - 0 WIN 2-0 11 points out of 15 methinks.
NewquayFox Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 Win them all apart from Swindon, Bristol, Stockport & MK Dons ;0/

Pricey Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Swindon Drew 2 - 2 DRAW 1-1Hartlepool Won 1 - 0 WIN 3-1 Bristol Rovers Won 2 - 1 DRAW 1-1 Mk Dons Won 2 - 0 WIN 1-0 Stockport Drew 0 - 0 WIN 2-0 11 points out of 15 methinks. Yeah i agree with that. I think we'll step up for MK Dons after drawing with Bristol Rovers, as we did when playing Peterborough and S****horpe (teams around us) earlier.
Legend_in_blue Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 I'm not feeling quite so confident as I was two weeks ago. My 96 point target is looking more and more unlikely tbh. We are beginning to perform more and more like last season. Not able to pick off the lower teams and with a distinct lack of speed with how we go about things. The only difference being instead of losing 1-0, we are scraping draws. I hope we raise our game against the teams around us otherwise we'll be looking over our shoulders too much for my liking.
GLC Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 I can't see us getting all 12, so i'll say 10 points
maddog Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Lose to Mk. Draw to Brovers. So 8 points out of the 15 Hope im wrong though, we are still on for 100 points+ at mo.
maddog Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Points per game needed for 100 points, 2.174. Points per game for us at moment: 2.226. We are still ahead of the average despite the 3 home draws in a row. Should still get it IMO.

We are better than Man Utd! 20 games undefeated. Plus looks like we'll win a trophy that they never have.
