dandannieldanok Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Not a tip, But the owner of my companys horse races tomorrow, I always mention it whenever it races, It seems to be improving by every race and I have seen it mentioned a few places for this race.Imperial Commander @ around 6/1 It was being entered for the Gold Cup on Friday but the trainer decided to go for this race instead. The first time I ever bet on it, I an everyone from work got abit excited by it and I lost £20 on it I think, but whenever I have bet on it since (About 3 or 4 times) I have always had a return, and as I said it seems to be improving every race, However Voy Por Ustedes is a good horse. Proved to be some good info there mate; apparently led from the start and cantered home ( ), would have liked to watched the race but didn't get back in time. Bagged me a welcome tenner.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Chelt 16:40: Butler's Cabin £1 e/w @ 20/1 Shouldhavehadthat £1 e/w @ 7/1
Matt Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Proved to be some good info there mate; apparently led from the start and cantered home ( ), would have liked to watched the race but didn't get back in time. Bagged me a welcome tenner. Alright mate! I was told this morning it was Voy Por Ustedes - In the bag, Apparently they needed rain for any chance for it to lose, but it went on to win, I listened to it on the radio then went up to the office and watched it on the internet - Saw the owner of the company on TV celebrating. Was amazing race! Imperial Commander really does seem to get better with every race it seems, and apparently it really does love the Cheltenham course. I can remember when we first heard about it and we all bet (Some stupidly big - I bet £20 first time so not huge but enough) on it and it lost and everyone was calling it a donkey, e.t.c, but it has really proved something now! I won £19 with my £2 e/w bet on it. And I have been playing bookies all day and we all chipped in £2 each, I collected £28 in total and we went e/w so £14 e/w, and we won £133 so £9.50 each. My manager had £5 e/w - winning £47.50. Someone else at work had a £50 free bet and bet on Imperial Commander - Winning £275 This has been my best Cheltenham Festival ever, So far making a Return of £71.85 and losing £6.50 - I think, there or thereabouts, Certainly not making a loss this year! Loving it. Had a brilliant day Tuesday, Felt quite down about yesterday not having a winner, but now everything have been turned round again to being good, A nice few wins tomorrow will be a brilliant end to week and a brilliant end to an awesome festival!
dandannieldanok Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Bloody highlights not on until 1am , wanted to see the Imperial Commander and Character Building wins, both sounded pretty impressive.
fox123 Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Really, really gutted wasn't able to do any laying today, not one fucking favourite come in and spent half my afternoon down the Royal infirmary
Matt Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Last day tomorrow Right tomorrow's bets; £1 e/w 1.30 - Walkon @ 5/1. 50p e/w 1.30 - Lethal Weapon @ 14/1. £1 e/w 2.05 - Sunnyhillboy @ 15/2. 50p e/w 2.40 - Alpha Ridge @ 8/1. And two bets I did a few weeks ago, to qualify for free bets; £2.50 e/w 3.20 - Kauto Star @ 13/8. £2.50 e/w 3.20 - Denman @ 5/1. I will be placing more bet's tomorrow but I finish work at 2pm on Friday's so will have a look and be placing them after work.
Bert Posted 12 March 2009 Author Posted 12 March 2009 Get on Zaynar in the 1.30. Having an e/w punt on Presenting copper in the 4.40 too.
fox123 Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Highlight of the day today with the Gold Cup, I think Kauto Star has enough to win it, but I will still be laying it hoping Denman can emulate the run of last time he beat him. There is a lot of hype for Barber Shop (currently trading at around 15/1) because it's the first time the Queen has a runner in the Gold Cup and I expect to see plenty of money for that today. No backs for me today, favourite lays again.
Ric Flair Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Zaynar looks a sure thing to me too Bert. Khyber Kim in the 2.05 is great odds, i'll be backing that each way and Dave's Dream on the nose. I fancy Albertas Run to get a place, doubt it can win but I have to back it, as it's won me nearly a grand over the past 2 seasons. I'm going to back Denman as well, great price and you don't become a bad horse over night. I dislike Sam Thomas though as a jockey, been awful for me in the past. Thetwincamdrift in the 2.40 each way.
Bert Posted 13 March 2009 Author Posted 13 March 2009 I don't really like Sam Thomas either. Presenting Copper, I'm really liking the look of.
JoeyB Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Get on Zaynar in the 1.30.Having an e/w punt on Presenting copper in the 4.40 too. Taken your tip fella.

Shout, i didnt think we would win tho' but when that horse ran out i was off my seat Changed it from a each way to a win at the last min. so i had £2 to win. fox123 Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Hope you all got on! I'm glad it drifted and didn't go off as favourite
