You are only a year older than Tom in a footballing sense though pal, two years above me and you at football is one of the best footballing years around. Some amazing players in that year.

Oh right dude.

Yeah that year really does have a lot of talent, most of the best players from round here seem to have lost interest now though unfortunately.

A couple of years ago in my Under 14s season with Ibstock.

We'd been stuck in this league since U10s (and still are tbf) and it started well beating Groby 9-0 and Loughboro Dynamo 2-1. Almost every game we used to turn up, and play teams off the park, and walk away with the 2 points. With 2 games left we had only lost 3, which were when we had injury troubles, and drew 2, both to the 1st and 2nd placed team, who had both come from behind against us and equalized in the last minute. With 2 games to go, we were sitting in 3rd. 2 points behind 2nd and 2 points ahead of 4th, we had a local derby game V Ellistown. We went 1-0 up in the first half, and kept that lead. But with 7 minutes remaining it started to hail quite bad, we wanted to play on as there was only 7 minutes remaining, but the ref told us all to go to the changing rooms. We waited 5 minutes, and then it stopped completely. We went back out to play the last 7 minutes, when we realized the ref had driven home so we couldn't play on. We lthen lost the game 2 weeks later 1-0, and drew our other game. We didn't go up.

So the season didn't have the best ending, but it was a very enjoyable season to play in. I even scored some.

I've had many sucsefull seasons playing football so far winning cups and leagues, being top goal scorer a few times aswell. My best season was about 2 years back we was in the League Cup final which we won 4-3 and I got MOTM and we was second in the league with a game to go 1 point behind the team in first place, it was the last game first v second, we was 3-0 down at half time eventually we came back to win the game 5-3 and go on to win the league.

A career highlight so far is I sufferd a really bad Asthma attack* and was in intensive care for 2 weeks, when I was eventually fit again I came back to score my first sunday laegue goal(with my right foot and i'm left footed) and score my first hatrick in that game then I scored in every game untill the end of the season

* The Asthma attack wasnt a highlight, the scoring was :)

Managing

I led Beaumont Town under 18s to the the youth league treble 1in 2001/02 . We lost in a final of another cup so was close to the quad !! Had Joe Jonas get 53 goals and 2 other players with 30 + . Really enjoyable time . We went on a 33 unbeaten run over 2 seasons winning 30 of them. Had the chance to move them to a senior league reserve side but gave it a miss.

Playing

I won the Stokes Cup 2 years back with West End and that was fantastic. On a purely personnel note i played for the Blackbird around 2004 and scored 28 goals in my 1st ever season up front , we got to a cup final and i scored in every round including the final at Holmes Park but we went on to lose 2-1

It was for Allexton New Parks under 18s last season. Me and a couple of mates joined in January for a laugh really, hadn't got much to do at the weekends in sporting terms so we joined because we knew we'd get a game for them.

My first game was against Tommeh's Quorn side, who were a lot better than us but only got a 1-0 win from a late penalty. I played left-mid and I hardly touched the ball. (Tom Moore was right-back by the way)

After that, I moved to left-back, and didn't miss a minute for the rest of the season. I was nominated for player's player of the season and coaches' player of the season and came 3rd and 2nd respectively.

We finished second-bottom, or maybe 3rd bottom and we deserved to be there, we were a poor side but we fought hard in the big games. I'm thinking taking the lead against Kingsway (who were challenging Quorn for the title) before going onto lose 2-1, and getting to the semi-final of the county cup/or some sort of cup before losing 3-2 AET at Coalville against Syston. To be fair, that game was probably my favourite game ever because of how we battled and battled on a nice pitch and I had a fucking great game.

I wish I had played more Sunday League instead of nonce-ing about playing Rugby on sunday mornings. I feel I'd be a better player if I did.

Birstall United Under-12s, won the league.

Scored 8 goals from full back that season, picked up the Player's Player Award from Ali Mauchlen at a presentation in all. Then left because a a couple of boys' dads took charge instead of my old coach from primary school, and they had their favourites. Never got a sniff some weeks. Wouldn't mind but the guys that played all ran like they had a two pence piece lodged up their arsehole. After that season I packed in Sunday League at 13.

My dad went beserk at the twats running it.

I played for a youth team in New York between the ages of 9 and 15. Had some good times playing for St. Clare's. The best season i remember was our December 99-March 2000 indoor league when we won the playoffs. That season was really fun. I scored a load of goals from right wing (i think i was our top scorer)**. I remember scoring the winning goal in the final (against my future math teacher's team). We were 2-0 down and fought back to win 4-2. We all got huge trophies, picture in the paper and free meals at Burger King (they sponsored the league).

**The season after i was moved to center back :dunno: Logical?

I want to play for a team again :(

My best and Worst full season in sunday league was my last for Fosse. On a personal note i scored 17 goals in 16 games which made me the top goalscorer that season and i was in the form of my life. Then a new strike partner came along and my form dipped in a couple matches, subsequently found myself on the bench for the last few games on the season and stopped enjoying it with how serious it all became. Left to join Beaumont Reserves as player/coach but they folded and had a stop start season after, until i played for west end reserves which was the best time in football, such a great group of welcoming lads, scoring 10 goals in 10 games in the process :)

This season has been unbelievable, my first as Manager and player, so far Sparta are 2nd in the league and in the cup semi-final, the double is still on, and ive got a great set of lads i wouldnt change the world for! quite happy with my own personal contribution with 6 in 14, most subs
