Uncle Albert Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Was he bollocks. He over stretched, was off balance, falling down then King made contact. And if a referee has made a mistake I'll say so Righto. This is coming from the same person who made an excuse for Mike Rielly and his Bosingwa desicion. Good one.
Samilktray Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 How anyone can say it wasnt a penalty is beyond me.
DB11 Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Righto. This is coming from the same person who made an excuse for Mike Rielly and his Bosingwa desicion. Good one. I explained how the decision was made. Sometimes you can be too close to an incident ya know
Uncle Albert Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 I explained how the decision was made. Sometimes you can be too close to an incident ya know Ow my God! Right are you seriously saying Reily was to close to play to see Bosingwa's challenge? Seriously?
DB11 Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Ow my God! Right are you seriously saying Reily was to close to play to see Bosingwa's challenge? Seriously? No I'm saying the assistant was.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 No I'm saying the assistant was. Well you didnt say the assistant but still you sound like a little twat, if anyone makes an excuse for that stupid peice of reffing then they dont deserve to have any opinion on it and you shouldnt really be a Ref really.
DB11 Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Well you didnt say the assistant but still you sound like a little twat, if anyone makes an excuse for that stupid peice of reffing then they dont deserve to have any opinion on it and you shouldnt really be a Ref really. Well why don't you become one?
Uncle Albert Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Well why don't you become one? Because I would rather play the game than be a Ref trying to make money from the game. Thanks anyway.
DB11 Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Because I would rather play the game than be a Ref trying to make money from the game. Thanks anyway. Yes I'm sure that's the only reason we do it I ref cos I like it
Uncle Albert Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Yes I'm sure that's the only reason we do it I ref cos I like it You like being an arrogant little shit who wont admit to a descion that you have got wrong? Safeeee.
purpleronnie Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 When I first saw it I thought he had dived as he looked to be going down early, but the replay shows contact was made and should have been a pen and the ref was in a good place to see it. I guess justice was done in the end.
DB11 Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 You like being an arrogant little shit who wont admit to a descion that you have got wrong? Safeeee. How can you call me 'an arrogant little shit' when you don't even know me? And if I've made a mistake I always admit it. Not at the time as that's suicide and will not aid match control at all but, and it has happened, if a manager comes up to me at the end to ask me I'll hold my hands up if I've got it wrong.

Well why wont you admit that the Ref today made a mistake in giving a penalty and why wont you admit that the Ref and his assistants got it wrong with Bosingwa? So no you wont admit it when you are wrong. Flid.
City Fan Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 As much as I hate to agree with DB11, I also thought it wasn't a penalty. Ronaldo was looking for it and started falling before any contact was made, and I think Ronaldo made contact with King, not the other way round. King put his foot out, Ronaldo could have easily got past it but decided to make contact and then went down.
City Fan Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Only 2 Englishmen took penalties - they both missed. What is it with the English and penalties?
The Blur Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 The fact Ronaldo made a meal of King's challenge just made it looked like he dived but I think it is a pen
BoneDog Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Only 2 Englishmen took penalties - they both missed. What is it with the English and penalties? I'm not in their league. I put 'em in the roof of the net every time. Should of played for England but I think Des Walker kept me out.
Edmund Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Had to mute Sky Sports because of Andy Gray getting his description of the penalty claim all wrong. "Ronaldo is a victim". Absolute garbage, Gray. There's no way on this earth that was a penalty, he was horizontal before King's foot was anywhere near him. Contact != foul. Ronaldo was heading towards the deck long before King had even challenged him, and the fact that his foot happened to brush Ronnie's leg while he was on his way down is irrelevant. Ronaldo had decided he was going down long before he got in the box. So you watched the rest of the game in silence. Come on don't lie.
DB11 Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Well why wont you admit that the Ref today made a mistake in giving a penalty and why wont you admit that the Ref and his assistants got it wrong with Bosingwa? So no you wont admit it when you are wrong. Flid. Because, as I've said, it was not a penalty. And you already know that if you read the other thread that I thought the assistant was very wrong in the Bosingwa incident, however as the ball was in the corner he has to find a foul in favour of the defence.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 So you watched the rest of the game in silence. Come on don't lie. You're not wrong. The human mind is not built for taking that kind of commentary, I just can't do it.
