Edmund Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Cup final becoming more like the Superbowl every year. It will eventually go down that route. I was watching the superbowl on bbc and there was breaks every minute to keep advertisers happy. Couldn't stand it. Wouldn't surprise me if we soon have time out's and half time half times for adverts.
Daggers Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 The streets of Sussex will party like they've never partied before
Libertine Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 I almost long for the days when the big teams didn't care about this competition.
Thracian Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 I've thought this on other occasions, why on earth do they keep watering pitches pre-match. Times you see players slipping over and one of these days its going to cost a goal. As it was it affected the flow of passes considerably and the wet surface was still apparent late on. I can understand modest watering one or two before the match but today there were players slipping and sliding constantly. It also begs questions about the studs they use. As for the game Foster was brilliant, Ronaldo should have had a penalty though why he failed to shoot when given two fairly close range opportunities I'll never know and Tevez, apart from his penalty hardly did a thing right all match. So many moves broke down dismally when the ball reached him.

Tommeh Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Fell asleep 20 in, how strange. Edit: Just found out United won, presume I was woken by the roars and firework displays going off in Milton Keynes.
