Trav Le Bleu Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 The Green Custard story. I'm guessing however, that this won't be the first time Mandelson has had sticky fluid splattered in his face!
Zingari Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 The Green Custard story.I'm guessing however, that this won't be the first time Mandelson has had sticky fluid splattered in his face! but why are the british so crap at protesting about stuff ? in france, germany, italy etc they seem to do grown-up things, but we brits always chuck eggs and custard pies etc , are we really such a loopy nation ?

Zingari Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 I bet we also queue up in single file to insult/ throw objects at people while discussing how bad the weather has been

This is true. We need more riots. Setting fire to cars and stuff. Custard-throwing? Pathetic.
Zingari Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 This is true. We need more riots. Setting fire to cars and stuff. Custard-throwing? Pathetic. now you put it that way , maybe custard tarts ain't so bad it might be my car that gets set alight
Shrenchel Posted 6 March 2009 Posted 6 March 2009 but why are the british so crap at protesting about stuff ? in france, germany, italy etc they seem to do grown-up things, but we brits always chuck eggs and custard pies etc , are we really such a loopy nation ? Apathy, most people in Britain can't be fooked to do something about an issue they disagree with. I'm sure if the people that do this shit had hundreds of thousands to march on parliament with like in France, they would. If this bird had got all the people that were willing to do something about it together to take to the streets it probably would looked like a few mates walking down the pub. I doubt the press would have taken much notice.

Since 2005, marches on Parliament have been illegal...
Shrenchel Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 Since 2005, marches on Parliament have been illegal... Yeah I know, but I find it hard to imagine that would bother thousands of angry french workers. Is that old geezer still living in his tent there?
davieG Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 Since 2005, marches on Parliament have been illegal... How can a protest March against Government policy be in any way related to Serious Organised Crime? Once again Labour use a sledge hammer to crack a nut. And why is Mandleson still being paid by the people of this country when he's been discredited as decietful and not to be trusted.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 Yeah I know, but I find it hard to imagine that would bother thousands of angry french workers. Is that old geezer still living in his tent there? Brian Haw? I think he might be actually, despite numerous attempts to silence him by the government.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 Since 2005, marches on Parliament have been illegal... I think that law is an absolute disgrace. How can that be democracy?
Thracian Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 Since 2005, marches on Parliament have been illegal... I can understand why that's necessary! It'll need to be even more illegal before long.
Scow Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 Since 2005, marches on Parliament have been illegal... ...and we take another step closer to an Orwellian society...
Webbo Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 Much as I dislike this govt. and Mandelson especially I find these kind of demos pathetic. They interviewed the smug cow who did this on the news. She was all" I'm doing this for our children" and other such pious bullshit. I wish she'd been stuck in the cells overnight, the willy puller.

That's what you get when you bring in laws to silence the people, pathetic at one end (custard throwing) dangerous at the other (guns, knives, explosives). OK we haven't had the violence yet but with the current financial situation getting worse by the day and overseen by an apparently incompetent government who have not been averse to joining the bankers in the trough and the means of protesting closed down I wouldn't bet against it.
