Ultra Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 Higgins stumbled over the line in the end. He looks like he's gone off the boil. That will give hope to whoever he plays in the final.
Salieri Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Higgins stumbled over the line in the end. He looks like he's gone off the boil. That will give hope to whoever he plays in the final. As did Murphy. Think the finals gonna be very close, i'm desperate for a Higgins victory and £240 much needed winnings!
Bert Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Murphy has an awesome cueing action and seems to be able to hold his nerve really well. I want Higgins to win though.
Salieri Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Just checked the odds. Both players 5/6 with Skybet. Could go to the wire this one...
Salieri Posted 3 May 2009 Posted 3 May 2009 Scrappy first session. Despite leading 3-0 I think Higgins will be relieved to go in all square. Sets it up nicely for this evenings session, wouldn't be surprised to see it end 8-8 on the night.
AmericanScott Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 C'mon Higgins. I placed a silly 30p bet on him to win at 10/1 from the beginning. £3.30 is bus fare yayyy!
Salieri Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 C'mon Higgins. I placed a silly 30p bet on him to win at 10/1 from the beginning.£3.30 is bus fare yayyy! I got £240 coming my way, hopefully! 11-5 up after the first 2 sessions, it'll take a monumental fook up by Higgins to rob me of my winnings...
Salieri Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Ronnie out! I lumped £20 on Higgins at 12/1 so quite glad Ronnie's out the reckoning. That Allen lad will take some beating however...
purpleronnie Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Well done, told my dad to bet higgins but he bet ali carter?????????
Salieri Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Well done, told my dad to bet higgins but he bet ali carter????????? I really wanted to back Selby but in the end had to go with the value.... At least with Higgins you know your gonna get a run for your money, unlike if you back the likes of Ronnie with his unpredictable moods! Higgins is THE best match player and in the marathon that is the World Championships he's always worth a flutter.
Ultra Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Quality performance by Higgins in the final. Strange how it was probably his easiest victory of the tournament.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Quality performance by Higgins in the final. Strange how it was probably his easiest victory of the tournament. It was strange, and I think the way in which Murphy tailed off badly hurt the final as a spectacle. Higgins' wins over Cope and Selby were better viewing imo, that said Higgins cannot be at all faulted for a stunning performance.
