Matt Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Why are there so many Cov fans in the audience at Selby games? Their Leicester fans is disguise. Or wannabe Leicester fans, supporting a Leicester lad. I saw a few Leicester fans there the Sunday after the Southend game.
Milky Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Why are there so many Cov fans in the audience at Selby games? You mean two.
C-man Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 I saw John Higgins in his trackies earlier on West Street. He was just popping into a flat above a shop. Maybe doing what Paul Hunter used to do in between sessions?
Finchy Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 You mean two. No i've seen atleast 5/6, which is quite a lot consdering the event. I mean i know a lot of people choose to wear football shirts at snooker but there seem to be more Cov ones than any other. And that guy that sits next to Selby's chair seems to wear a different Cov shirt each day.
Uncle Albert Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 I saw John Higgins in his trackies earlier on West Street. He was just popping into a flat above a shop. Maybe doing what Paul Hunter used to do in between sessions? Fairplay to him if thats what he's doing! Animal. Hope Selby can push on and get into the semi's.
Matt Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 This is gonna go to final frame I think. Currently Selby winning 10 frames to Higgins' 9, but Higgins in command of the current frame.
isaidno Posted 29 April 2009 Author Posted 29 April 2009 This is going all the way, Selby's missed an easy black
RowlattsFox Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Think Higgins will win this, I've only watched last couple of frames but Higgins seems more likely. Going to be epic though, Mark Allen will be hoping it goes on for a couple more hours yet with the semi starting at 2 tomorrow.
Bert Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Selby seemed to be bottling it, kept on asking for the re-rack and that. Higgins did very well under pressure in the last frame though.
Matt Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Well Done Mark, Unlucky. Higgins v Selby matches are always good, but Higgins seems to have something over Selby, 2 times out of 3 now - That went on late into the night too. (The Final - 2 years ago?)
Lillehamring Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 selby had chances to win it in the 24th frame... but higgins was supercalm despite fluffing a couple of shots.... i don't mind higgins at all, hope he wins it - probably won't bother with the remaining matches tho.

Same here. I'll root for Higgins, but I wanted either Mark or Stephen Hendry to win it...
Milky Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Selby can be proud of his performance. That should've been the final really. "I really don't know how I won that match," said Higgins."I think I only counted three or four balls in the whole match that he missed. "I'm flabbergasted. He's such a great player. That was probably my best win ever. That's how highly I regard Mark and that's how highly I regard his performance."

(The Final - 2 years ago?) Selby is actually 6-3 up in the head to head record.
dandannieldanok Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 With that performance, Selby would have literally beaten any other player than Higgins, and that includes O'Sullivan. Although I'm disappointed Selby's out, all the credit must go to Higgins for again showing what a great match player he is. Don't mind who wins it now, just looking forward to 4 more days of great snooker.
purpleronnie Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 What's wrong with Higgins? Not enough manly fisting? sorry fist pumping... I just find him dull and that stupid thing he does with his tongue bugs me, dont really care to be honest I'm not a massive fan of anyone but I would like someone new win it but my luck means higgins will win it again.

Bert Posted 1 May 2009 Posted 1 May 2009 Higgins is 13-3 up. Playing really well. Must be the favourite to win the tournament. Allen is 110/1 just to win this match!

StanSP Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 Current scores: Murphy 14-10 Robertson Higgins 15-9 Allen Looks like it will be a Murphy Higgins final. Was hoping Robertson would get through but he has a LOT of work to do if that is to be the case. If it is Murphy Higgins, hope the latter wins
