Hitesh Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 The draw looks good this year....although its annoying because I will be revising most of the time this will be on!!!!
Matt Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 Starting Saturday - Mark Selby is 15/2 to win the World Championship.
Bert Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 The draw looks good this year....although its annoying because I will be revising most of the time this will be on!!!! Surely it's something that you could have on in the background though? Dead relaxed really. Anyway, hoping for Selby or Hendry to win it.
Salieri Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 Gonna have a bet on outright winner, always fancy Ronnie but odds way too short as usual. Who's a good bet with a bit of value? Higgins?
dandannieldanok Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 Gonna have a bet on outright winner, always fancy Ronnie but odds way too short as usual. Who's a good bet with a bit of value? Higgins? I haven't looked at any odds but I would steer clear of the older lot like Hendry and look towards someone like Ryan Day or Neil Robertson, if one of them hits some form they'll be tough to keep pace with. If Higgins is good value go with him, certainly one of, if not, the best match player out there and can really tough it out.
Salieri Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 Ding. Very talented but a choker. You can see it as soon as things not going his way, eye starts twitching manically and he's gone...
Salieri Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 O'Sullivan, Ronnie 2/1 Maguire, Stephen 15/2 Selby, Mark 8/1 Murphy, Shaun 11/1 Carter, Allister 11/1 Higgins, John 12/1 Junhui, Ding 16/1 Day, Ryan 20/1 Robertson, Neil 25/1 Williams, Mark 28/1 Fu, Marco 33/1 Perry, Joe 33/1 Ebdon, Peter 33/1 Allen, Mark 40/1 Cope, Jamie 40/1 Hendry, Stephen 40/1 Walden, Ricky 66/1 Dott, Graeme 80/1 Wenbo, Liang 80/1 Lee, Stephen 100/1 Hawkins, Barry 100/1 King, Mark 150/1 Swail, Joe 150/1 Greene, Gerard 175/1 Higginson, Andrew 200/1 Holt, Michael 200/1 Davis, Steve 300/1 Bingham, Stuart 300/1 Burnett, Jamie 500/1 Bond, Nigel 500/1 Gould, Martin 500/1 Mcleod, Rory 500/1 Those are the odds from Stan James so better odds could be available elsewere, a rough guide anyway...
dandannieldanok Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 12/1 on Higgins is good value, 80/1 on Graeme Dott is worth a closer look, he has experience of winning it before.
StanSP Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Just seen on BBC that Rocket Ronnie got 140 break. Did he miss the black for a maximum then?
isaidno Posted 18 April 2009 Author Posted 18 April 2009 Just seen on BBC that Rocket Ronnie got 140 break. Did he miss the black for a maximum then? No, he was on for a 147 in another frame and missed the 10th black. Hendry's starting well against Mark Williams.
Matt Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I spy a Leicester shirt in the crowd. Selby just about to play.

isaidno Posted 20 April 2009 Author Posted 20 April 2009 Selby through after beating Waldren 10-6. He plays Graeme Dott next.
Bert Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Selby through after beating Waldren 10-6. He plays Graeme Dott next. Walden.
dandannieldanok Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Selby through after beating Waldren 10-6. He plays Graeme Dott next. Wasn't at his best but was reasonably fluent when in put in the balls from what I saw. Dott will be well up for the tactical battle so hopefully Selby's superior break-building will get him through.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Davis starts in a minute, don't hold out much hope for him but you never know, fingers crossed for a shock result.
isaidno Posted 22 April 2009 Author Posted 22 April 2009 Possible scenario for Selby 2nd Round Dott 2006 champion 1/4 Higgins 2007 Champion Semi O'Sullivan 3x Champion Final Murphy 2005 Chanpion He's got to do it the hard way

StanSP Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Glad that Hendry got through against Ding. Selby up against Dott tomorrow. Seems like a good match between Rocket and Mark Allen. Currently 9-9.
