Edmund Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 Probably Dr The Singh and his Sikh separatist group.
FilboFox Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Where and when!?! I go to DMU... any news? Anything?
davieG Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Apparently a semi-derelict building in Deacon St in the De Mont Union area. This hat I thought I heard on the BBC East Midlands News
Dr The Singh Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Probably Dr The Singh and his Sikh separatist group. Yes, we were seperating the girls from the boys and unfortunately th party got out of hand!!!
FilboFox Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/leicest...ire/7971353.stm Found it on the BBC finally... couldn't be bothered last night as it was too late... doesn't look like anything serious to do with the Uni itself though.
Guest Bilo Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 A little too close to home for me. Literally. I could smell the smoke and when I saw my street cordoned off, I feared the worst. Still can't get near the actual building this morning.
Monk Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Someone probably forgot they'd put some bacon under the grill.... bloody students!
FilboFox Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Someone probably forgot they'd put some bacon under the grill.... bloody students! It'll be toast... bacon is too complicated for most of them. That or they were trying to do chips in a fryer thingy...
Alexikokopops Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 It'll be toast... bacon is too complicated for most of them. That or they were trying to do chips in a fryer thingy... It seems the concept of a "deep fat fryer" is too complicated for you.
FilboFox Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 It seems the concept of a "deep fat fryer" is too complicated for you. Thats the thing. Can't say I've used one that often and the name wouldn't come to me... If I want to have chips, I'll just buy them... but it's not very often... give me a nice home cooked meal any day! At least some students can cook...
Monk Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 At least some students can cook... Clearly not these one! Though the neighbours could have had a nice BBQ by putting a rack of ribs on the window sill.
Alexikokopops Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 "A fire which forced the evacuation of student accommodation in Leicester is being treated as suspicious." Doesn't really sound like a cooking incident.
General Smuts Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Student fires. Bleurgh ... Reminds me of the one in my halls which coincided with me drinking half a bottle of Tequilla before my night out. Suffice to say there was carnage and the night ended with me being thrown off of a stretcher because i was sick in an oxygen mask. Ahh i loved halls. Great memories ... or lack of them.
Edmund Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 the night ended with me being thrown off of a stretcher because i was sick in an oxygen mask. :giggle:
Daggers Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 "A fire which forced the evacuation of student accommodation in Leicester is being treated as suspicious."Doesn't really sound like a cooking incident. Drugs. It's always drugs. Students - avoid drugs. They're bad. Mkay?
