Corky Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Howard or King. Not sure. Yep. Fryatt has scored the goals but I believe Howard is just as important to our team. King has stepped up to the plate this season, hope he continues to develop.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Yeah but I mean, if you include Davies he'll probably be top five on most people's lists. You include DJ and more or less everyone will have him bottom 3. Is there really a point? Well, yeah, if the list is meant to include the good as well as the bad, I guess. It's not "players of the season" or anything, although I'm not really sure even maddog knows what this thread's purpose is.
bluebeau Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Well, yeah, if the list is meant to include the good as well as the bad, I guess. It's not "players of the season" or anything, although I'm not really sure even maddog knows what this thread's purpose is. Yeah I agree with you. It's virtually impossible to put players in order of merit when some of the best have only played a few games. Further points - IMO......... 1) Chris Powell not include in top 18, can't agree. 2) Had he not suffered injury, Kisnorbo would have been right up there. 3) Warner has scored high in the games he has played, but can't be placed in the list for such few games. 4) If only!!! Davies had played most of the season, he would have been no.1. It's all in the eye of the beholder!

Mr Happy Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 1) Howard 2) Oakley and King 4) Hobbs 5) Fryatt 6) Tunchev 7) Berner 8) Gradel 9) Gilbert 10) Henderson and Martin - Injuries hampered both their progress, I would like to have seen who would have been No.1 if both were fit 12) Morrison 13) Dyer - Should be higher but recent performances have been dire 14) Powell - Again if he had played a few more games he would be higher 15) Mattock 16) Hayles 17) Dickov Edworthy, Adams, DJ, Brown, Cleverly, Davies, Warner, Stockdale, Bunn etc these players have made their own contributions to our season but can't be fairly rated because they have just not played enough games for city this season to be, IMO, included in this list.
