The Doctor Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 With this poor run and peterboro + millwall on a decent run of form will we still win promotion
James. Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 I wouldn't want to insult the intelligence of the average Foxestalk poster but some peope may find they answer "Have we blown it?" as opposed to "Will we get promoted?". Which might distort the poll a bit. Seperately is no one else finding the constant speculation over the next 5 games tiring? I am.
Asha Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 We'll still get promoted, but we're making it hard for ourselves. Instead of relying on others, we just need to get out there in the next few games and give everything and get the points. It's in our own hands, and to miss out on promotion after being 14 points clear of 3rd a very short time ago would be disgraceful.
The Doctor Posted 7 April 2009 Author Posted 7 April 2009 no This is about city not leeds. we know you won't get promoted, I'm trying to find out whether city fans think city will get promoted
welck12 Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Seperately is no one else finding the constant speculation over the next 5 games tiring? I am. Yes, its got beyond a joke now

Question being 'have we blown it?' in the subtitle...i click no in the poll, but then I read that the poll is asking the opposite.

Ye i set that up to see how many city fans actually read the poll topic before voting
sir_bob Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Yes you will still get promotion.....hopefully behind the mighty Posh!
davieG Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Have we blown it! Making it hard for ourselves! It's in our own hands! What's it all coming to!
carterfox90 Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 we are top & its in our own hands only we can feck it up which the players at the moment are having a good go at doing hopefully we'll get a win at hereford & then the leeds game is crucial but as usual we are on telly early kick off we hate them & playing at home the signs dont look good :sweating:
davieG Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Leicester City are still virtually assured of an instant return to the Championship despite their recent dip in form. That is the view of bookmakers Mark Jarvis, who have already paid out £10,000 to punters who backed City for promotion. Jarvis took the decision to hand over the cash at the end of January when City were nine points clear. Their lead is now down to two points but Jarvis still have them at a virtually unbackable 1-20 to go straight back up. Jarvis's spokesman Ben Coley said: "We could end up with egg on our faces but we are not unduly concerned. We still think Leicester will be promoted." That view is understandable because, although the lead has shrunk dramatically, City are still seven points clear of third-placed Millwall. And, with the Lions hosting second-placed Peterborough on Monday, one or both will drop points. However, whether City go up as champions is now another matter. A month ago, betting was virtually suspended on the title race with City at 1-66. But they are now only just odds-on at 4-7. Coley said: "We have had a couple of inquiries about backing them again." He is still expecting to have to pay out on City winning the title, a result which will cost them nearly £20,000 in bets struck before the start of the season. Indeed, bookmakers nationally see it as a two-horse race for the title with Peterborough generally on offer at around 6-4 and all other teams at least 20-1. With two automatic promotion spots up for grabs, that should provide some relief for the Blue Army. City travel to Hereford on Saturday before Monday's all-ticket home clash against fifth-placed Leeds (12.15).
J.Lisemore Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 We'll be alright, i think its just a question whether we win the title or not.
daveyboy Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 We'll be alright, i think its just a question whether we win the title or not. Yep.
carterfox90 Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 We'll be alright, i think its just a question whether we win the title or not. hope your right
Hitesh Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Damn thread title and poll title! I didn't read the poll title and just assumed it referred to the sub title have we blown it hence the voting no by mistake! We will get promoted, just unsure if it will be as champions or not!
Guest Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Seperately is no one else finding the constant speculation over the next 5 games tiring? I am. Me too. There are still 5 games to go and we are still at the top of the league after all. If we'd been offered us this position at the start of the season anybody would have taken it gladly.
Saladin Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 As long as it is in our own hands...then we are favourites to go up as champions, simple.. People seriously need to get a grip and stop over reacting... think P O S I T I V E!
Vardinhio Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Stupid poll, using opposing questions in thread title and main post...
