Masters Golf 2009

Woods is back, but i anticipate and hope for a very open competitive field.

But chances are, with an American winning this 6 times in the last 8 tournaments, that will be the case again. The last European to win this was 10 years ago, Jose Maria Olazabal, and the last British player was Faldo back in '96.

Always look forward to watching this though :yahoo::dance::banana:

I'm hoping this will be a close Masters and would love to see a European winner! But I can just see Tiger doing it in his usual style!

I love the Masters, it's just right for winding down at the end of a day. Beautiful course, Augusta, and I love the 16th, a real all or nothing hole!

Masters is my favourite Major for some reason I love it. There are some quality groupings going round for the opening two rounds, Ernier Els and V. Singh together.

Always going to back my favourite Golfer, Mr. Sergio Garcia. Its about time he won a Major.

True, and as much as I would love to see it, just can't see him winning at Augusta - his record there is not good.

It's hard to look much beyond Tiger for this week but I'd say Casey will be the top European.

Ruling young Rory out? I think he might turn a few heads.

Not really ruling him out, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he has a good week, but I would be surprised, and very impressed, if he finishes as the top European.

Agreed, great player just dont think he is quite good enough yet. Hope he proves us wrong though

Going to be massive soon.

I just hope its a close tournament like the PGA last year.

Gotta be Vijay. I had Vijah Singh 2005 on my phone, quality game.

Great bloke aswell, being a Sikh he supported many Sikh seperatist movements making him an equivalent of the Real IRA to some ignorants!!!!

Having few quid each way on Immleman (100/1) and Boo Weekley(150/1)

It's tough to win the Masters unless your a great putter..that leaves Sergio & Casey out. Tiger has to be the huge favorite again but Ogilvie is in great form and usually putts well..at 10/1 he's a good bet.

Two top 10 finishes and an 11th place in 4 starts at The Masters, and a win last week on a course with a set-up not too dissimilar to Augusta. I might well be wrong, but I think he'll have a good week.

Good round by Fisher in the end.

But Jim Furyk is probably the favourite right now.

Believe it or not Tiger is still favourite at 7/4 :o Absolutely ridiculous odds-he should be 6/1 or 7/1 at least but then I suppose he's done it from this position before.

I wouldn't have got 18/1 for Chad Campbell if not for the Woods effect so I'm not complaining

He better win, ive got him at 70/1 :P

Furyk has just dropped another shot :@

Mcilroy is going to get disqualified for kicking sand.

Campbell and Perry are leading.

Tigers 7 shots back yet still favourite to win the tourney :giggle:

No chance

The Europeans are not having a good tournament. At one stage today, Sandy Lyle ( :o ) was the highest on the leader board.
