Ford Super Sunday Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 As we hit economic turmoil, and it seems the whole population will soon become unemployed (if you believe the tabloids) it's nice to know that we have shops like Poundland Now I don't now if anyone is to snooty to go in there, I certainly ain't. This shop just seems to keep getting better and better. Ok, not everything is worth buying, but the quality of their items they sell seems to be increasing by the week. Only a few weeks ago I saw a copy of Peter Shilton's autobiography (though I had purchased it from Amazon for £2.76 3 days before) and only last saturday I saw copies of Ian Holloways' autobiography being sold. Not to mention their good quality batteris, good brand deoderants and shower cremes, my god they even sold Durex condoms a few months ago. And for all those who are a bit like Jaqui Smith's husband, theres a good few x-rated DVDs too. So poundland, the home of good products! if you find anything decent in there, drop a post in here!

The 99p store near where I work is excellant, for branded and non branded things, your money can go along way there!!! I bought loads of Barbie and Batman merchandise for myself, also packs of Dettol ANtibacterial soap which cost more then twice as much in the supermarkets..............just one point, don't buy the condoms, otherwise you'll have a very expensive long term accident....!!!
