I posted on this forum last season,saying i hoped it wouldnt be too long before you came back up and i glad thats the case.Most Saints fans wanted Pearson to stay,but our idiot ex Chairman thought he could do better with a couple of Dutch unknowns.Just a shame we will be taking your place next season. Anyway hopefully we can do what you did this season. Good luck for the new season,you deserve it.

I thought the City boards of the past were screw-ups but from the minute Rupert Lowe's smirking mug got cosy in the big chair the Saints have been a downward spiral. The fans - as always - deserve better.

You are far from down yet but if you do go down go to as many away games as you can you will love it, if I could have this season over again I would have gone to a few more. Maybe we can go down next season again? only kidding.

I sat in the home end for Saints Vs Sheff Utd this season and it was absolutely horrible, equalised in injury time against 10 men and still lost. So many reminders of Leicester under Holloway that night....If you do end up in League one, and manage to get a couple of older heads amongst your kids I guarantee you'll have a much better time next year than you might think now.

IF you do get relegated, whilst it may hurt a little to begin with, think of it as a chance to re-build again. We have had 5 years of shite and I believe that going down was a blessing in disguise, a chance to re-group, re-build and gain much needed confidence throughout our club. Our fans seemed to have loved going on majority of the away trips this season, if you keep you're feet on the ground, remain humble and try to enjoy it you should enjoy it like we have. Good luck either way.

Unit Posted 18 April 2009 Author Posted 18 April 2009 Saints fan, I have to say that getting relegated was probably a blessing in disguise, when it happened it was fooking horrible but we've seen a lot more entertaining, winning football this season than we have in the past 4/5 years... If you'd have asked me this time last season if i'd be happy being a league 1 winning side i'd have said no, now that it's happened, I bloody am. some great clubs in league one, some brilliant stadiums and there'll probably be a nifty 6 points waiting for you against Leeds.

FilboFox Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Yep... the day I got up at 3am to get a flight in Lisbon back to Belgium... finally making it home at around 3pm-ish... just in time to switch on the BBCi thingy to watch the scores come in and see us crowned champions! A season in the mire of League One over and lets hope we never have to do it again!
