The People's Hero Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Alright? I've been feeling a bit sh itty recently (ie had the sh its) and cramps in the ol' stomach and tiredness and stuff. Anyway, I've been told for ages I should have one of these allergy tests. Blow me. I can't eat fu ck all for the next 8 weeks now.
The People's Hero Posted 21 April 2009 Author Posted 21 April 2009 Can you eat Nik Naks? Have they got wheat in?
The People's Hero Posted 21 April 2009 Author Posted 21 April 2009 Porridge for you then. Porridge all round, I say. Why should TPH suffer alone? 'He shouldn't,' I hear you cry. And you're right!
Hitesh Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Ah, I do feel sorry for you TPH! I shall have a bowl of porridge in your honour! (maybe...with lots of sugar if I do!) How strict is your diet? Hope all is well and you get better soon!
Monk Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Quavers & Original Lucozade are always the answer to stomach upsets.

How strict is your diet? Hope all is well and you get better soon! Just problems with the ol' gut. There's foods I shouldn't be eating and drinks I shouldn't be drinking and pro biotics I need to be taking. Amongst other things I can't have: wheat potatoes cows milk (or any dairy) alcohol
Katy Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Sounds shite James. Hopefully this will get to the bottom of it. Don't let it stop you doing anything

The People's Hero Posted 21 April 2009 Author Posted 21 April 2009 Slight lie - I'm allowed to drink cider. I might.
Monk Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Ouch. Doesn't sound good mate. My cousin has something similar and she has a lot of gluten and wheat free stuff, Soy milk is really nice when you get used to it Burgen Soy and Linseed bread is really nice My girlfriend's mum owns a food shop (in Virginia) for wheat & gluten free customers. I know she has been doing some UK research so may be able to get some info on where to buy the tasty stuff. Allyson went to an exhibition at the excel centre the other day and came back with a free gluten and wheat free ginger cake. It was AWESOME.... so, it's not the end of the world. And lets face it, you off alcohol is probably beneficial for all of us! Had no idea mate and hope it settles down Slight lie - I'm allowed to drink cider.I might. That Suffolk cider in the pub I met you in is well nice.

It's meant to be a lot nicer than soy milk (or just doesn't take getting used to)
The People's Hero Posted 21 April 2009 Author Posted 21 April 2009 Rice is having to become my main carbohydrate for 2 months. Man I love the rice. Best to go for the brown stuff right? (And brown rice too?) OLE!
Monk Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Lentils, Quinoa, Cous Cous, BEANS! All good. Rice too of course. Personally I don't like rice milk just because it makes a crap cup of tea

The People's Hero Posted 21 April 2009 Author Posted 21 April 2009 Agreed. Hope you get it sorted Jim lad. It's nothing too bad. Just gets to grate a bit when everything I eat ends up hurting/sticking around for ages/or straight through me. Basically my body isn't extracting any nutrients from anything I eat cos my gut is rubbish so I need this pro-biotic nonsence. Not too sure how much I can trust this allergy test thing. Anyone have any experience of them?
The People's Hero Posted 21 April 2009 Author Posted 21 April 2009 mmm danone Nah, that stuff lacks the oomph apparently. I'm on the pills, maaaan
Master Fox Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Amongst other things I can't have:alcohol Gutted. I feel for you.
The People's Hero Posted 21 April 2009 Author Posted 21 April 2009 Poor Jimbo. No cow pie. Having done a bit of reading, it appears I can't really eat any 'meals'... just the odd bit of fruit, some crispbread here and there and the occasional cup of black tea.
