DJhinckley Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 think yourselves lucky, down here in border country we are literally minutes from warwickshire and 'batch/cob' wars are a plenty. obviously we all know it's a 'cob' but that doesn't stop them breaking border control and trying to sell their 'batches' in gods county of leicestershire.
Zingari Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Its Cob and long may it stay that way, the lady in the bakery down the road from me calls them Cobs and she`s Cornish. ;0) a cornish cob is a stone cottage or a pony though

Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 A cob is a round piece of bread whilst a roll is a cylinder shape. Simples! Oh, and what about baps?
