maddog Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Next season, 2009/2010, will be the first in 5 seasons since 2004/2005, that all the 4 rivals are in the same League. And with the additions of another local game at Peterborough, and West Brom looking likely to go down, there will be a lot of local games on offer. Does this deserve it's own thread, i Which game are you most looking forward to? I'm equally excited about each of them, and wouldn't mind another trip to Forest or Derby
Tommeh Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Peterborough is more of a Derby than Cov, they are complete no marks who seem to hate us silly, tlk lke dis and play in the foulest fleahole of a ground ever created and rarely half filled. Cannot wait for Forest and Derby away.

The vitriole seems to get the crowd going more at the Tree Huggers
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Derby and Forest away. Just watch out for flying bottles on the way out of Forest though. Oh, and try not to get mixed up in the trashing of the away end seats.

No it's not! Well, not geographically anyway. Unless Derbies have changed.
Finchy Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Peterborough is more of a Derby than Cov Absolute b*llocks. Atleast Cov actually don't like us back. Forest and Derby don't care about us, how are they considered big rivalries? We just look sad for giving a sh*t.
lcfc_jme Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Cov is absolutely gash. I don't hate them because I view them as a rival team. I hate them 'cos all of the people I've ever come across who support them are c*nts and think they're some kind of superior beings, despite being completely chavved up and hardly coherent. Looking forward to Forest away (right on my doorstep now) and Derby away, obv. Also Posh seeing as I missed it this season and then WBA away seeing as I'll do a nice night out in Brum afterwards then crash at the mrs' place. Absolute b*llocks. Atleast Cov actually don't like us back. Forest and Derby don't care about us, how are they considered big rivalries? We just look sad for giving a sh*t. lol lol. Definite face-palm on your part. Forest don't care about us? Moonshine. They say that to wind us up, and they know it works because of people like you. I work with Forest fans out here - believe me, they hate us. And as for Derby not hating us, that's also nonsense. I posted on their forum a fair while back, to say I got a bad reception would be an understatement considering I didn't insult them once. Cov is a small-time, nothing rivalry. Only our fans from outside of Leicester really hate Cov. I know I don't think of them as rivals. I just despise their fans.
SystonFox Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 forest away 2-3 will live long in the memory. epic game.

They say this but I went a couple of seasons ago to watch Bournemouth play them (got a free ticket) and the Forest fans spent most of the game singing songs about Derby AND us! They love to hate us too
clazkel Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Im actually glad Forest are safe, thats sad really, but cant wait to play them
Head Honcho Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 The Reading v Brum game looks tasty now. You watch Sheff utd go 3 up after 10 minutes and piss on both their parades

Yep, pretty much. The only derby I wouldn't be disappointed to miss is Cov away. They like to think they're rivals to ourselves, Villa and pretty much every other West Midlands club. None of us want to know. Their only successes count as 30 odd years of relegation dodging in the top flight, their only silverware coming courtesy of a freak own goal some 22 years ago. As for the stadium itself, there'll be around 10,000 empty seats when we go with a bunch of pock-marked virgins 'giving it the big un' a la Football Factory at our fans. Dull.
Tommeh Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Maybe I should have included the word "personally" or phrase "for me" If Coventry was such a huge game why does everyone happily sit down and shut the fu ck up for 90 minutes? Where I'm from the banter with Forest is decent, bit with Derby too but I do realise many other members of each support don't particually care about us. As far as games that I'll get up for and excited about Forest, Derby and even Peterborough are, Coventry certainly isn't, infact there are few games in the whole football league which fill me with less excitment.

We just look sad for giving a sh*t. There may well be some like that, but I think many are not fond of us. May not be hate, but dislike and don't want to see us do well. I'm actually not that bothered what they think of us, I don't want them to do well, I want to beat them and that's that. Coventry can't stand us, I want them to struggle too.
Guest Bilo Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 We got it the 1st time Bilo! You pissed again ? I wish. Bloody internet link keeps posting the same thing over and over. It's like having an e-stammer.
Bert Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Forest and Derby have always been the two main rivals for me though, tbh. Never really knew how close Cov was until I was about 15. So I never put them in the bracket of "Forest and Derby" simply because of this reason, and even though they are the closest, (?) when I was growing up, my Dad never really mentioned that Cov were "rivals". Forest will always be my #1 hate with Derby following up.

Forest will always be my #1 hate with Derby following up. I certainly never considered Cov to be major rivals growing up, not least for the reasons posted above. Always about Forest and Derby for me. I'll never forget the feeling of being 4-0 up at Derby within 15 minutes in '97, I don't think that would have felt half as sweet at Highfield Road.

It was good to beat them but it was just another victory really. Derby were always the one for me, the really big game. Forest we didn't play too often, every season we played Derby, so they were the main rivals.

Tbh we seem to class Forest as are main rivals and they couldn't give two f**ks about us. Sadly, we dont have a main rival because no-one hates us back. Same with Cov.

Anyways Mark, we shared such a tender moment at Forest away. How could that not mean anything to you??
