flanimal Posted 8 May 2009 Posted 8 May 2009 Yes, I think Cleverly will be back. It's not that surprising though, really. Although on the plus side, looks like I'm good for some accurate info for once. Watch out Knowitall!
Salieri Posted 8 May 2009 Posted 8 May 2009 Should we take that as something happening then?! Didn't make quite as much impact as Davies, but looked very good nonetheless. Man Utd think very highly of him and he will only get better. Plus, he loves this club!
flanimal Posted 8 May 2009 Posted 8 May 2009 Cleverly is a natural footballer, always works his arse offf. Glad he's coming back. Can't think of a reason it won't happen.
ntfc_dan Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Hi all, a cobblers fan here. Firstly congrats on your well deserved title victory this year. There was never really any doubt that it was going to happen. Im here to find out some information about a couple of your players who we have been linked with. Firstly i saw Ryan Boswick mentioned by Knowitall on this thread and was wondering if you could give some information on him, i.e whether you rate him, were you sad to see him go, etc. And on one of our forums Billy Kee has been mentioned. Having seen a thread about him on here, it seems that he has some big fans, and some doubters, so would it be a good signing, and does it seem likely that a player with a goal scoring record like his would be interested in a league two club? Thanks Good luck to you next season in the championship

Billy Kee - we've all heard great things about him. he will be offered a better contract here.
flanimal Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Appologies for the triple post I know little about Boswick. Kee is a goalscorer, but lacks technique, pace and a good first touch. Strong, but people say his attitude may be dodgy. Presuming Leicester buy 1 or 2 strikers, Kee will have no chance of first team time. If either go, I wouldn't care much, but I think Kee could develop. He'd definitely go to a L2 club - if they gave him first team action.
MPH Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 He's a good-looking boy, too. straight out of the rooney school of modelling, it seems
Granno Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 straight out of the rooney school of modelling, it seems Looks like a right tough bastard!
flanimal Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 He's a beast. We should keep him, I bet he'd head a guy's foot if it got hiim a goal.
carterfox90 Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 so has it been told what levi has done to piss off nigel ??????? thought he would have done well in that league as for kee looks like a real old fashoined ' take no shit' center forward should try to keep him just to scare the opposition

Carlos9 Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 I reckon we should try and get a decent young striker on loan from one of the top 6 in the prem. Im sure theres a gem in there some where! I know there no chance in Vela and all the ones we have seen about, but they seem to like giving Nigel there players .

My money is on a foreign striker from Eastern Europe.
Russell352 Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 It will be awesome to see the Tunch back next season.
jimmer Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 He fooked NP's daughter. With the League 1 trophy. Did we have that at the start of the season Apparently he was on the bog and realised there was no toilet paper The closest thing he could reach was NP's jacket......the rest is history!
General Smuts Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Having looked at our current squad, here's my two penneth: Players To Keep Who Will Perform In The Championship: 5 DF Aleksandar Tunchev 8 MF Matthew Oakley 9 FW Steve Howard 11 MF Lloyd Dyer 12 FW Matty Fryatt 15 DF Michael Morrison 22 MF Max Gradel 23 DF Joe Mattock 24 MF Andy King 25 DF Jack Hobbs 29 DF Chris Powell 36 DF Wayne Brown Get Rid: 1 GK Paul Henderson 2 DF Marc Edworthy 3 DF Patrick Kisnorbo 10 FW D. J. Campbell 13 GK Conrad Logan 16 MF Nicky Adams 17 DF Bruno N'Gotty 18 MF Levi Psssh 19 FW Barry Hayles 20 DF Harry Worley 27 FW Paul Dickov — MF Jonathan Hayes — DF Lathaniel Rowe-Turner Keep And Loan Out/Academy: 21 FW Ashley Chambers 28 DF Luke O'Neill 30 FW Craig King 32 GK Alex Cisak 34 MF Aman Verma 35 GK Carl Pentney — MF Ryan Beswick — MF Robbie Burns — DF Lee Cox — FW Ricky Sappleton That leaves us with a first team looking like this: 0 GK 1 RB - Morrison 3 CB - Tunchev & Hobbs plus Brown 2 LB - Mattock and Powell 1 RM - Gradel *shudder* 1 LM - Dyer 2 CM - King & Oakley 2 ST - Fryatt & Howard We'd also have Berner, Weso and Clemence floating about as backup. In my opinion we desperately need options at RB, CM, on both Wings - as well as N'Guessan, Up front - as well as Cox. We also need a goalkeeper and a backup keeper desperately. I think we need another 6 signings on top of N'Guessan and Cox.
FleckneyFox Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Striker Barry Hayles is in talks with Cheltenham and Walsall after being released by Leicester. (Daily Star)
flanimal Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Good. Hayles is nowhere near League 1, or Championship material. I remember him playing for Stevenage in the '90s, and joking to my mates that we could sign him up (due to Leicester's lack of strikers at the time)... ... never thought it would be a viable option!
