Dj 9 goals in his last 20 Championship appearences. Fryatt 11 goals in his last 81 appearences in the Championship.

I will say it again, Fryatt, Howard and Dickov are an extremely weak strikeforce.

Unless Fryatt and Howard miraculously raise their games in that League we will go down, because we won't score goals.

Any of the top scorers in League one may not cut it in the Championship, the entire League will be after Kevin Phillips assuming Birmingham don't want him in the Prem, so who the fook will get us the goals to keep us up? To give us a mid-table finish? To secure a playoff place :giggle:

fair enough, i think you have a valid point, but i think you answer your own fears in your other post - NP would never send chambers out on loan if new strikers were not coming in.

in fact i'd say this list suggests that we can probably expect 2 of the 6 at least to be strikers (stockdale and warner cover the goalie situation, morrison's succes at right back, the probable signing of gilbert, with the done deals of hobbs and brown, makes defence less of a concern) so i'd say at least two strikers and two midfielders (with adams definitely appearing to be part of NPs plans...)

as for who the forwards will be, i'd guess from what has been said by NP and (sort of) implied by Knowitall, cox appears to be one option and i'd put money on another being a foreign player.

mind you, i think you're flogging a dead horse with DJ, he's made it clear he wants to go and...

DJ Campbell trying to get rid. Wages to high for Blackpool unless he takes a big cut in wages.

You can't mate, but will Fryatt be better next season? A full season, scoring goals and playing in a winning team, may give him the confidence to do it at a higher level.

And maddog, do you seriously think Pearson isn't looking at players for next season, and won't make any signings?

Ah yeah, I know what you mean. Fryatt will hopefully be the Fryatt we've had this season and completely different to the useless donkey the seasons before, but, he was in a losing team, working under/with clowns..

Cheers knowitall.

But I can't help feeling concerned that Stockdale, Gilbert, Warner and Ajdarevic would be 4 of those 6, then we wouldn't come close to this 'dream of a play-off place', Stockdale and Gilbert are good but quite inconsistent, Warner doesn't save much and Ajdarevic is more than likely the next Zsolt Laczko, thanks anyway.

DJ Campbell is a ****. If we get a decent offer for him, we should get rid for sure.

MASSIVE fan of the news on Chrissy P, if I'm honest (providing nothing has changed since Satdee, obv)!

Great news on the whole, though Dickov should go and I'm not really sure why we're sticking by Clem, either. Or Aman Verma.

Edit: Or Nicky Adams. Or Edworthy.

But Dj has a much much bigger chance of getting goals next season than anyone else we have and than any new signings we can get, unless they are proven Championship scorers (Chopra, Phillips, Illueomo, Doyle, etc)

The fact is Fryatt could improve, but i can't see him going 11 in 81 to 20+ in 40 or however many games he will play.

Dj goal to game ratio this season is just as good as anyone on the Championship top scorers list, apart from the top 3.

Djs goal to game ratio is very very nearly identical to Kevin Doyles this season, Djs is 0.45 goals a game, Doyles is 0.46 goals a game.

Those statistics are enough for me to at least try and keep him. Fryatts ratio is a :giggle: 0.136 goals a game.

So what does NP do? Sell one of the best strikers you could have in your side for next season and gamble on an unproven Championship player, or keep him.

Dj has the 4th best goal to game ratio this season in the Championship, enough said really. I don't care what hes said, if i was NP i would be looking at his performance at Blackpool, try to bury the hatchet and keep.

Not surprised really after his loan spell. When knowitall said he was looking to tie up a one-year contract with a League Two team I thought it would be them.

He won't be playing for us, he has no intention of playing for us so we should just forget how well he has been doing for Blackpool. He never fitted in here and never will. I don't give a toss how good his scoring ratio is, Dickov's was pretty impressive there last season but he has done sweet Fanny Adams this season. Campbell doesn't give a shit about Leicester City, and Leicester City don't give a shit about Campbell. Get a few hundred grand for him, accept we're going to take a hit on the ludicrous £2m+ fee we paid for him and find a player who's going to put his heart and soul in to the game, rather than just sulk because he isn't getting 46 games a season.

We have 9 goals in 20 games striker in our squad, we should be happy about that.

No because last season when he played in the prem for us he look dis-interested, and was always "Injured" Also DJ has said that he dosen;t want to come back next season, so if he don't want to come back why should we bring him back and force him to play?

Also Knowitalls rule is he won't tell players that NP is looking at in case other clubs read the bored etc or news gets out and it could mean the transfer breaks down.......
