I was soo depressed when we lost to Stoke, its hard to describe how i felt, absolutely gutted. To have been relegated was bad enough but when their fans ran on the pitch, our players disappeared and their fans were laughing at us and sticking their fingers up, that was harsh.

When we got back to the car i put my scarf out the window and a Stoke fan said, watch you scarfs falling down, and started laughing along with afew other fans, i wasn't impressed!

At least at Crewe our fans didn't rub it in their faces. But then this season was the best, im just hoping we carry on winning next season and have as much fun! Bring on the Championship!

If we hadn't been relegated then we wouldn't have had this season so maybe it was a blessing in disguise, as this season has sure been fun. I just hope we don't come back to earth with a bump next season

It was a 0-0 draw wasn't it?

Yeah I agree with you. That's the sort of thing you would only do to big rivals surely?!

This seaspn has been immense and i hope we can bring our form into next season :fc:

7 mins plus injury time (well they never really played any as their fans ran on the pitch). Only Mattock, Oakley, Howard, Hayles, Fryatt and Chambers were in the team who experienced it and who are with us now. (well Hayles isnt really, and Weso could come back)

Oh yeah, stupid me, we drew even though it felt like a loss

Tears were about to start...Infact, i'm not sure I cried or not, I was pissed sitting in a corner, it was abit of a blur towards this time a year ago, Someone even asked if I wanted to go out down town, I said no - don't think it would be the best idea.

I know my ex boss a Derby **** was insensitive enough to send me a few messages, I had quite a few "sorry, you'll be back messages" of other people I know too though.

I don't think i cried, sounds silly but i think i was in shock, and it was like a blur, cried later on that evening when i got home though, blooming Pearson keeping Southampton up. Maybe it was his plan to send Leicester down, get the job and rebuild us, and so far its going to plan

Me, like lots of other Leicester fans didn't think it was a reality until that final whistle went, even in the build up to the game I couldn't see us going. But when we did I was in complete and utter shock, horrible horrible feeling. But signing Tunchev and co. in the summer got my enthusiasm back (easy as that) and was delighted when we beat MK Dons, heres to the future

... I have a group of mates who are Southampton fans, working in the South has it's draw backs! .... and all but one were very genuine friends and didn't poke too much p*ss taking as we went down (the pain was very evident in my face and my mood, or so I'm told!) ..but one was a complete and total tosser ( .. yep ... no longer a friend, merely a work associate) ... to my good friends I've given my support and said "no-p*ss taking, as I know just how miserable it felt" to the 'tosser' I've said "I'll not take the p*ss, 'cos as City fans we're bigger than that ... but I really, really do hope you remember how bad it feels and how much you don't do that to friends!" ... I thought he was going to burst into tears with shame, bloody big Jessy!!!!

Boy, I've enjoyed last season .... Champions again!

The Sheffield Wednesday game sealed our fate. The Stoke game just confirmed it. Horrible horrible day.

As usual the Merc reporters, Steve Pumfrey in this case were at a different match.

It was at Stoke's Britannia Stadium in May 2008 that distraught City supporters were being consoled by the home fans following a goalless draw which put the Potters back in the Premier League but condemned Ian Holloway's side to the third tier for the first time in their history.

Consoled my cockend. They were laughing their heads off at us.

To be fair though, if the boot were on the other foot we'd do the same.

Generally Stoke fans seem to be twatters. Remember that Play Off against Stoke where Garry Parker scored the winner to get us to Wembley? Some of the fans that day were complete shiteaters.

A lot of my mates consist of Leeds fans, Forest fans, Cov fans, and Villa fans (and loads more of course :P) but the reality of it is that its banter, every last one of them gave me hell for weeks about it, took the piss, tore me and Leicester to shreds. But so what? At the end of the day its banter and i'd do the same to them, fair enough they were nice to you, but it always makes winning more fun when you can rub it right in.

I was absolutely distraught on this day a year ago, and yeah I cried. An awful lot, actually. Managed to cut my hand open and have somebody threaten to kill me within 5 minutes of the final whistle. Absolutely horrible day, full of feelings I never wish to experience again.

The only plus points from this day were meeting Katy, Cobbo, Scoweh and Stez. Just a shame it had to be done on those terms.

You're not the only one mate. I was in a right drunken state and made a right tit out of myself pretty much crying all night and telling everyone how much I love the club and how disapointed of the them I was.

Funny how something good has came of what we thought at the time was the worst possible thing to happen to us. I've not been this optimistic as a Leicester fan Since the year Micky took us up and we were 2-0 up within 15 Minutes against Southampton.

Well the first time I met the previously mentioned people, I cried heavily infront of them, had 2 of them to thank for preventing me being beaten up and refused to take plasters for my bleeding hand off one. I made a major tit of myself also. :P

The whole experience was awful, and it will (touch wood) never happen again. Though with the benefit of hindsight, I'm kind of glad it did. This season has been unbelievably enjoyable, definitely helped us to rebuild and instill a winning mentality, and has brought a sense of togetherness which we didn't previously have. Just glad we've got out before the novelty of this league wore off.

Agreed, I've loved every moment of this season but Im sure if you ask Forest, Leeds, Sheff Weds etc they won't all say the same. I think The fans as well as the team have made it so enjoyeable. We've had a right laugh.

We'll be going into next season with bags of confidence, and I think we'll do a lot better than previous season. What this season has done for me is it has reignited my love for Football and for this great club of ours, and for the first summer in years I can't wait for August to come round.

Haha, from where i was their fans weren't consoling us, thats a load of rubbish they were laughing at us, when they should've been celebrating amongst themselves not rubbing our noses in it. And afew were sticking their fingers up. Maybe some consoled our fans but i never seen anything like that, not one said unlucky or sorry to see you go down and we walked past quite afew Stoke fans on the way back to the car.

I think going down has made us realise how hurt it makes you feel, and thats why our fans were decent to the Crewe fans, and fair play to all the Leicester fans at Crewe for having a sort of sympathy with Crewe whilst still enjoying ourselves. I am proud to be part of the fanbase especially at away games.

It was depressing to be relegated but I was one of those who said on here that the expereince could do us good. In fact it's been even better for us than I imagined.

Pearson has proved himself exactly the kind of manager we needed and has let he team do the talking on the pitch.

He's shown himself to be a focused, no-nonsense guy who's put together a properly balanced team full of honest, consistent footballers who work for one another but each contribute their own individual abilities.

Pearson has avoided making changes for changes sake and has made sure we've been fit enough to last the pace both over each 90 minutes and over the season.

Our teamwork has stood out, particularly at places like Bristol Rovers and MK Dons when we found ourselves up against it. Our rank bad days were strictly limited, Tranmere away stood out as one, but basically Pearson has done more than win a promotion, he's restored some pride to the club.

A standard has been set. We've played some football, consistently scored goals but, most important, we've turned up week by week, match by match and, instead of thinking teams might be beneath us, we've set out to compete with everyone.

It's been such an important season. Rather like we've been steam-cleaned from top to bottom.

The location I was in when we was relegated was ironic....

I was in a theme park :(

I dont enjoy the rides afterwards much
