Ric Flair Posted 3 May 2005 Posted 3 May 2005 Right then, post your crazy team selection here. I think some of us are going to be in for a disappoint in regard seeing loads of youngsters. There's talk of Sheehan starting, which will be nice. I just hope Dawson is given a game as he deserves it more than anyone. Hirschfield Maybury Stearman McCarthy Sheehan Hughes Williams Dawson Tiatto Connolly Moore Subs: Stewart, Dublin, Dodds, Porter, Kenton

I reckon CL will put a few youngsters out on sunday

kenny Posted 3 May 2005 Posted 3 May 2005 CL has said the only people playing will be ones here next season as he will not get the players back next week. Therefore all contracts will be signed this week. So if those teams are somewhere about right then potentially, walker gone dublin gone gillespie gone kenton not coming back? moore not coming back? We will know all come saturday.
Scow Posted 3 May 2005 Posted 3 May 2005 Levein might be reluctant in changing the back 4 after keeping 2 clean sheets in a row. However... Walker Stearman - Kenton - McCarthy - Sheehan Maybury - Dawson - Williams - Hughes Connolly - Moore Maybury has done well down the right in the past two games, so Levein may push him further forward to allow Stearman to play right back. As Tiatto is suspended, I think Hughes will play left side, with Williams partnering Dawson in the centre. Probably the most difficult team selection of the season!
Chimp Posted 3 May 2005 Posted 3 May 2005 Levein is quoted as saying that his priority, as with the Leeds match, is to get a win. So, even though some of these players might not be with us next season, I think he'll start with... Walker Maybury - Kenton - McCarthy - Stewart Gillespie - Williams - Nalis - Hughes Connolly - Dublin I think Stearman, Moore and possibly one of the youngsters may get brought on as a sub in second half.
shen Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 Well after seeing the released player list, I expect this lineup: ................Hirschfeld................... Maybury..Kenton..McCarthy..Sheehan Hughes..Williams..Dawson.. Stewart .............Moore......Connolly.......... Subs: Dublin, Joey, Stearman, Heath, Wilcox
Ric Flair Posted 6 May 2005 Author Posted 6 May 2005 Lars Kenton McCarthy Stearman Maybury Williams Dawson Hughes Stewart Connolly Moore Subs: Dublin, Sheehan, Joey, Heath, Wright/O'Grady

The fact Levein said 'he's done reasonably well' and that they have offered him 12 months to prove he's a future Leicester player makes me think Levein is still unsure on him. Shocking, although quality always comes through and it's down to Dawson to stamp his authority on whatever chances he's given. Bench at best, which is a shame. But better than nothing and i'm confident he'll succeed.
Nationwider Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 LarsMaybury McCarthy Kenton Sheehan Hughes Gudjonsson Williams Stewart Connolly Moore 104056 I'd agree with that line-up for Sunday. Joey may make way for Dawson, at a guess?

Joey may make way for Dawson, at a guess? 104065 Well Stearman will almost certainly come on if he doesn't start. Then Dion might make a 2nd half appearance, either to test how he plays with Moore, or if the small-small combo up front simply doesn't work. I know I've put Dawson in my line-up and hopefully CL's backroom staff will apply some pressure on CL to start him, but realistically were looking at a place on the bench at most, and if he's lucky, he'll get some 5 minutes at the end of the game
pafcfan10 Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 McCormick Connolly---Doumbe---Coughlan---Gilbert Norris---Wotton---Akos Chadwick---Evans---Taylor heres hoping to a good match on sunday (and we WILL win! )
Chimp Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 heres hoping to a good match on sunday(and we WILL win! ) 104139 Yeah, i think it will be a good match... don't be so sure of that win though, especially with the way we've played recently against Sunderland, Derby and Leeds.
C-man Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 Yeah, i think it will be a good match... don't be so sure of that win though, especially with the way we've played recently against Sunderland, Derby and Leeds. 104202 I dont think we will win, as Plymouth will want to go out on a high infront of their own fans, and with Levein hopefully experimenting, it will be tough for us to get 3 pts. Hirschfeld Stearman - Kenton - McCarthy - Sheehan Hughes - Williams - Dawson - Stewart Connolly - Moore
pafcfan10 Posted 7 May 2005 Posted 7 May 2005 and when we last played you we didnt have a little man called akos buzsaky, the guy is already a legend, and this will be his last game before he returns to porto, i dont think many plymouth fans really care about the result, just as long as its a good peaceful atmospheric game in the sunshine, and i can tell you it has been boiling here today, a real summers day, i look forward to a good game tomorrow, so get behind your team as we get behind ours and lets raise the roof tomorrow!
